This week, we meet Andreas B. Heide - Expedition Sailor and Conservationist
Andreas B. Heide was always going to end up working in nature. He started life next to the ocean, the proud owner of his first boat at the age of nine.
Since then his journey has taken him into the military, on to oil rigs and deep under the sea. But he’s only just starting out. Andreas’ magnum opus is his work with scientists and documentarians to tell the story of an ocean in crisis.
Inspired by conservation legends Jacques Cousteou and David Attenborough (who he recently worked with on the 2019 documentary ‘Whale Wisdom’), Andreas talks to us about how he uses spectacular images and films to reveal the impact our changing climate has on the oceans.

This week, we meet James Otter - owner of Otter Surfboards.
James’ love of surfing naturally comes with a genuine care for the future of the seas. In this episode, he talks of his horror at the pollution going into the oceans - especially from shop-bought plastic boards - and how this led him to combine his talent for designing and making things out of wood to establish Otter Surfboards.
