A police officer in Springfield, Ohio has been placed on paid administrative leave after dash camera footage showed her patrol cruiser running over a Black shooting victim who was calling 911 for help. The man died shortly afterwards.

Officer Amanda Rosales was responding to the 911 call from Eric Cole, who called at 11:15 pm to say that he had been shot. "I'm in the middle of the street," Cole told the dispatcher. "I'm about to die."

Cole remained on the phone with dispatchers as Rosales responded to the shooting. He told the dispatchers when he was hit with the patrol cruiser.

Police say that Samantha  left a message to the father of her child before little innocent Liam was found dead. Police say that Samantha wrote to her babys father, “I’m going to try and get a house for Liam and I, and we can talk about this in the future.”

A Black man who says an unprovoked beating by Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies left him with eye damage and other extensive facial injuries has filed a civil rights lawsuit against the county.

In the lawsuit, filed Monday in federal court in Los Angeles, Christopher Bailey alleges that in May 2020, he was dragged out of his car during a traffic stop in Inglewood by two deputies and assaulted without warning or reason. Four other deputies joined in the beating as Bailey lay on the ground, according to the lawsuit.
