Aleksa was born in Serbia, having moved to the states when he was 2. A natural athlete, Aleksa grew up a skater, played some football and lacrosse, and finally settled into MMA around the age of 16. He quickly saw that he had a potential career ahead of him in a sport that he also loved to train.
