TKO holdings
Vince McMahon officially no longer holds majority control of WWE.

Endeavor officially completed its majority-stake purchase of the wrestling giant Tuesday, merging WWE with UFC to create TKO Group Holdings.

Shares in the company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange with the opening bell Tuesday, opening at a price of $102 per share.

Endeavor owns 51 percent of the newly formed company. McMahon owns 16.4 percent of TKO under the terms of the deal. Endeavor agreed to a deal to acquire a majority stake in WWE in April. The deal placed a $9.3 billion valuation on the world's largest professional wrestling company. As part of the deal, Endeavor agreed to spin off UFC and create a $21 billion combat sports behemoth.

McMahon will serve as Executive Chair of TKO "until his death, resignation or incapacity," according to the agreement filed with the SEC. With that position, he has the right to select five of the 11 directors of the company and certain veto rights as well.
Former UFC president Dana White will now serve as the CEO of UFC under TKO.

Khan will serve as the president of WWE in a role similar to White's former role as UFC's president.

Endeavor will own 51% controlling interest in the new company. WWE shareholders will own the remaining 49% on a fully diluted basis.

McMahon personally owns 34% of the new company, according to its filing with the SEC.

Matt Riddle claimed an NYC airport cop sexually assaulted him during a confrontation -- and while he seems to have taken it back, an investigation is now underway ... TMZ has learned.

The WWE wrestling star posted a shocking allegation Sunday, taking to IG to throw up a photo of a Port Authority police officer at JFK ... and attaching a scathing caption. He claims to have been touched inappropriately by this cop but doesn't go into too much detail.
What he does say is that he told this officer "no," but alleges the man proceeded to do something out of bounds to him anyway. FWIW, Riddle has since deleted the IG post.

Now, as far as what led up to this and what exactly went down ... we have some answers. Law enforcement sources tell us Port Authority officers got a call for a disorderly person who was deplaning, and they met him in the terminal. As it turns out, that was Riddle.

We're told the cops talked to MR -- as well as other witnesses -- and he seemed apologetic in the moment. No police report was filed, and everyone was free to go without incident.

It's because of this that our sources say the Port Authority was shocked by Riddle's claim ... as, from their view, nothing went down to warrant such an accusation. Still, we're told the department is taking his claim seriously ... and an internal probe has been launched.

Brian Danielson Retirement

Bryan Danielson made a shocking announcement on last night’s Collision, sharing that he will begin finishing up his career once his six-year-old daughter turns seven.

A proud husband and father of two children, Danielson has long been open about his desire to spend more time at home with his family.

But the announcement is open to some interpretation. Multiple people close to the situation confirmed with Sports Illustrated that Danielson will be stepping away from wrestling full-time in the next year yet may remain a special attraction for AEW.
Yet the biggest spotlight of the night belonged to Danielson. In addition to his announcement, he challenged Zack Sabre Jr. to a bout for the inaugural Wrestle Dream pay-per-view on October 1.

Jade Cargill makes AEW return on Collision

Cargill returned Saturday at Collision while The Renegades were beating down TBS Champion Kris Statlander. The Renegades held up Statlander as if Cargill was going to help them, but instead, Cargill took out both Renegades and helped up Statlander. However, it was a trap as Cargill laid her out with Jaded as Mark Sterling came to the ring. Cargill then held the TBS title in the air before dropping it on Statlander’s chest.

It was Statlander who made a surprise return at AEW Double or Nothing back in May after Cargill had successfully defended the TBS Championship against Taya Valkyrie. Statlander immediately challenged Cargill to a match, and she agreed. However, Statlander managed to pin Cargill, marking her first loss in pro wrestling and losing the TBS title after over 500 days as champion. Cargill has been off television since then.

Ace steel

CM Punk was fired by AEW last weekend after an investigation into a backstage incident at All In with Jack Perry. Five days later, Punk’s close friend and trainer Ace Steel is now also gone from AEW.

The news of Steel’s termination today was reported by PW Insider and confirmed by F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer.

Steel was a key player in last year’s backstage fight at All Out 2022 between Punk and The Elite, where some accounts say he bit Kenny Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson. Ace was fired by AEW in the aftermath of that brawl. It sounds like he was secretly rehired at some point and then worked as a coach / producer for the launch of the new Collision show in June.

MJF and Samoa Joe

On Wednesday, Joe asked MJF what his problem was. MJF initially poked fun at Joe’s weight before he delivered a heated message. He recalled the time Joe shoved him into a wall when he was an extra in NXT. MJF threatened to send Joe back to NXT. He also told Joe that he would not cut the line, as the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator tournament would determine his next challenger.

Joe fired back by saying he would run through the tournament and get a title shot. He proceeded to attack MJF from behind. MJF fought back, as he hit Joe below the belt. Joe overpowered him and went for a Musclebuster, but Adam Cole made the save.

la Knight

LA Knight is reportedly close to a contract extension with WWE, and a new report has some additional details on the matter. Following an initial report by PWInsider that Knight was close to a deal on an extension, Fightful Select has some more on the situation.

According to the outlet, Knight’s deal was nowhere near done around SummerSlam and it could take a while for such a situation to happen. WWE has generally waited until deals are much closer as of late before starting new talks.

The report notes that some of the initial offers given were countered in the negotiations. There were reports that WWE was waiting for the deal to complete before pulling the trigger on his push.

Neither WWE nor Knight have commented on the status of his deal as of yet.

(pw Torch) The contract is reportedly either being finalized or has already been signed, with PWInsider writing that some sources believe that the new deal is up to five years.

THe Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley) have reportedly signed new deals with WWE.

Per Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bubba (also known as Bully Ray) and D-Von recently signed Legends contracts with the company. Bully Ray has been featured on IMPACT Wrestling programming in recent months. He and D-Von will reunite at IMPACT 1000 on September 9. It’s unclear whether the Legends contract will have any impact on Bully’s work in IMPACT.

Von Wagner was the victim of a brutal assault on NXT last night. Bron Breakker attacked the 29-year-old WWE star after their No Disqualification main event. The latter split open Wagner’s head with the ringside steel steps. Fans might be worrying about his health in the aftermath of the assault.

The injury angle could be used to write him off permanently from NXT for Wagner to exercise his free agency status on either RAW or SmackDown. The big man was declared a free agent in WWE Draft 2023.

As for Bron Breakker, his future seems uncertain following the shocking events this week. The former NXT Champion has been heavily rumored to move to the main roster for months. It remains to be seen how the officials will retaliate after the controversial actions.

Gunther is now officially recognized as the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.

Gunther became Intercontinental Champion by defeating Ricochet on the June 10, 2022 episode of SmackDown. To ensure that his reign would be record-breaking, Gunther defeated Chad Gabl
