Who judges the judges---Paul brings two great realities to bear in the issue of judging and despising others.

What about special days---One of the tensions within congregations of Gentiles and Jews was the observance of days according to the old covenant law.

What about disagreements---Paul is obviously concerned about unity with local church bodies.

Why should we love our neighbors---Paul has been explaining why we should love our neighbors and has one more reason to end this section.

Will there ever be a time of mortal life on earth with the curse lifted and perfect justice over all the earth---There must be a time when the kingdom is on the earth under the rod of iron rule of the Son from Zion.

When love comes close to home--Christians certainly have responsibilities toward their government, but what about our neighbors-

What about the government---On the one hand, non-conformity to the world does not mean anarchy. On the other hand, civil government is important, but not more important than your soul.

Harmony with others---Paul continues showing how the renewed mind drives our harmony with others. These commands are counterintuitive and countercultural.

Psalm 84 anticipates the restoration of Israel and joyful worship in Zion.
