True worship begins with salvation. The guardrails of worship are the Spirit and the Truth. Neglecting the Spirit leads to intellectualism; neglecting the Truth leads to emotionalism—both extremes veer off the path of meaningful worship that brings true satisfaction in the Living Water.

Sincere worship begins in the heart. We worship in vain when we go through the motions of worship while oblivious to the truth of who God is and what He has done for us. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Has God changed your heart through salvation so that you can worship Him?

If we have properly understood "Who This Man Is," then the next logical question is: What are we to do? The answer is: Respond! Repent, be baptized, and remove yourself from the patterns of a crooked generation. Receive! His gifts are forgiveness of sin and the Holy Spirit. The result is incorporation into the family of God.
