I had many of you reach out to me about the first scam, so I did the work and found another scam you may have heard of.
Here are tips from a bank and local police to use to avoid being scammed on social media.

CHECKS
* Routing Numbers Don’t Match
* Unfamiliar Bank
* Odd Amount
* Came with Instructions
* Memo Line is Off Place
* No Security (VOID) When Held To The Light
* Mailed From California, but Check Was From New Jersey
* Came Priority Mail
* Banking/Routing Number Out of Order

These people pray on vulnerability and when we are at our lowest.
**Remember, the bank tellers aren’t trying to keep you from your money, they are trying to protect your money.**

There are some of us that believe there are good people out there in the world. There are, they just aren’t going to give you money.
Here are 3 tips to use to avoid being scammed on social media.
Grammar - Check for spelling, verb conjugation, and lower case letters.

Google - Do a quick search on the name or the method that they are trying to give you money or get money from you.

NEVER SEND MONEY - Truly nice people do not ask for anything in return. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, ever send money to anyone through social media that is promising to send you more money back.
REMEMBER: If it’s too good to be true, IT IS.

3 Tips To Start Out Being Successful with Facebook Live
Equipment - You can do a Facebook Live as simple as with your phone or you can take it up a notch by using your laptop, camera, mic, and lighting.

Script - Have a plan. Make sure you have a consistent and branded intro/exit that you follow every video. When it comes to the body and meat of your content for the video, have clear key points (no more than 5), and don’t be afraid to ad lib. Don’t read the script and engage with people coming on live with you.

Consistency & Distribution - The likelihood of you becoming Facebook Live viral off of one video is highly unlikely. Focus on weekly content and not views and reach at first. Get your content in front of people early on to get feedback. One way to get seen is to post video on other platforms and group pages.Adjust accordingly and continue to make your next Facebook Live better than the last.

What does it REALLY mean to LIKE posts on social media platforms.
3 #TurnTheLightBulb Tips:
Each platform has it’s own algorithm and likes play a part

A person who likes your page with 5,000 followers has more clout than a person with 100 (however don’t count out quality/quantity)

We are wired psychologically to LIKE something if we see a lot of people like it. There was this great 1962 Elevator Groupthink experiment on conformity that proves just that.
My Goal for 2020: If I like, I will comment. No comment. No like.
