We don't allow ourselves to let go and be still without harping on it. Forcing us to believe we aren't accomplishing anything and we don't deserve this stillness.
When we are still we are coming face to face with all the scary things. The more often we find the calm moments we are able to sit still and welcome in all thoughts. When we start to do this process it tends to be the negative thoughts. The ego shows up and tells us all the things that we are not doing. The judgment starts to sink in. Instead allow yourself to ask, "Why am I angry?", "What's the root cause of the problem?", "What's actually frustrating me at this moment?"
The more we practice allowing all thoughts to come in, we begin to welcome both the good and bad. Since doing this work, I've found myself much more calm and okay with being still.
I have lots of scenarios sharing ways I could have chosen calmness or stillness that would have helped the scenario have a more positive outcome.
