"Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think." -Benjamin Disraeli
We strive for perfection in so many aspects of live. Today, we dive deeper into this word, social norms, and the personal pressure we put on ourselves.
In addition, I share about our very recent 3.0 baby loss that I have been waiting to share good news again with y'all, but it turned out to not be so good of news for the third time. This time, we were only at 10 1/2 weeks, but it's still been another traumatic moment for our fertility journey.

Labor Day is approaching, and it always feels like the last weekend of summer, even though we still have a few weeks left. We are looking back at the summer we've had and excited for the fall, holidays, and the rest of the year to come.
I've been struggling with my approach to how I want to share with people when we are pregnant again. I felt like the best form of action was to stop drinking for the time being. It's been about three weeks. But this will give me the freedom of who and when I want to tell people when I'm pregnant because not drinking is always the main indication.

How do we want to feel once we accomplish the goals that we've set out for ourselves?
There are ways to build upon those goals along the journey. Every little step adds to the visual of what your life will look like and how you'll feel when you've accomplished these things.
Holding on to that feeling is what keeps us going through the more difficult moments on the timeline.

As I shared on social media, we did a lot of testing over the past couple of weeks, leading to more updates on our fertility journey. I am learning a lot about my body and how a healthy pregnancy that comes to term is truly a miracle in itself!
More than anything else, I am doing my best to relinquish control of a specific timeline. I am doing the best I can to prepare myself for pregnancy and be patient about when it is all supposed to come. In the meantime, I'm sharing with anyone who will listen because I am truly learning way more than I ever knew about the entire process.

Recapping July 4th, some new updates on our fertility journey, and focusing on marriage and friendships.
We are all struggling with something, and dealing with challenges daily. I think we all secretly miss our lives in our younger adulthood when we still had backup plans or our parents to possibly bail us out or give us advice when we really needed them.
But as we struggle, we grow. As we overcome, we evolve. Over time, we are able to handle more and more because life isn't easy. Maintaining friendships is hard. Marriage isn't sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows ALL THE TIME! And guess what? That's okay!
