Tune in here to this Monday edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
Brett kicks off the program by discussing how the Harris campaign has been in disarray since its debate strategy unraveled. Tomorrow night marks the first presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. This will be the second debate of the year, but you probably remember how the first one went for Joe Biden. The Harris campaign had pushed for fully open mics during the debate, expecting to secure that arrangement. Now, it seems that the Harris team is preemptively blaming Joe Biden’s camp for any potential issues that could arise from Kamala’s difficulty in talking over or interrupting Trump.
Later in The Show Brett is Joined by Bill Roggio from the Long War Journal to discuss the recent release of a report on the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, led by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The conversation highlights the chaotic nature of the withdrawal, the poor planning and execution by the Biden administration, and the long-standing issues that contributed to Afghanistan's collapse well before the withdrawal was announced. Roggio, who testified before the committee, criticizes the limited scope of the investigation and emphasizes that the collapse was the result of years of failures by both Republican and Democratic administrations.
Bo Thompson from Good Morning BT joins this Monday's episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Bo discuss the recent passing of James Earl Jones, celebrating his legendary roles in movies like Coming to America, Field of Dreams, and The Lion King, along with his memorable work as the longtime voice of CNN. They also talk about the devastating injury to Panthers defensive end Derrick Brown and share their predictions for tomorrow night's debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Additionally, Bo gives a preview of what he and Beth have lined up for Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning BT.
