This Sunday we continue our study of the Lord's Prayer by concentrating on the next petition: Hallowed be thy name. What might this mean for us?

The first Sunday of the season of Lent begins this week. As we journey through Lent, we'll begin a new sermon series on The Lord's Prayer. What are we really praying when we recite it lines? It's a radical prayer indeed!

This Sunday we'll reflect on the first petition of the prayer: Our Father who art in heaven.

This Sunday we will end our series by tackling the second most asked question by the Harrison congregation: What about the Underworld? What do Methodists believe about...Hell? What we might find is that there is good news even here.

Next Sunday we'll return to yet another common saying quoted by many Christians. Unlike the other sayings we've addressed so far, all of which appear nowhere in the Bible, this one does appear in the Bible: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10). What is Paul really getting at here? Again, we'll see that context matters.

This Sunday we shift gears and return to the top question asked by members of the Harrison congregation: What do Methodists believe about the Rapture?

In response to the question, we'll do something different this Sunday. Instead of hearing a standard sermon, we’ll do a bible study together. We will analyze two passages of Scripture often cited to promote this end-times teaching. Then we will simply ask, “What’s really going on?”

This Sunday we'll tackle yet another common saying uttered by the faithful: "The Lord only helps those who help themselves." Like the other sayings we've explored so far, it's time to put this one out to pasture too.
