It’s that wonderful time of year again when Harry and Dean get to look back at all of the great musical moments, and no better way to start the recaps than by talking about the great music released this year that had a significant impact on them.

The boys have some surprise picks - from Dean’s last minute addition to his list to Harry snubbing one of his Fave bands for a side project, they do not hold back. Dean shares stories including how one of his picks went from silly to all time Fave, and Harry reveals some flaws that lie in his own Faves.

Join Harry and Dean as they interview Mountain Grass Unit guitarist, Luke Black.

Mountain Grass Unit is an upcoming bluegrass band out of Birmingham, Alabama, and Luke is something of an internet guitar sensation! Luke shares about his entry into music, the formation of Mountain Grass Unit, and some of the formative concerts he saw growing up - including a very special Billy Strings show.

Luke also talks the new Mountain Grass EP with the boys, as well as their debut album, and the recording process for both. He also chats about getting in the touring groove, getting an education from Berklee, and Mountain Grass Unit’s identity in a confusing spectrum (or triangle) of jamgrass music. There’s also lots of fanboy-ing from Harry, getting the scoop on the setlist process, smooth song transitions, and surprising cover selection.

Join Harry and Dean for this bonus episode, sharing their thoughts on the announcement of the second "Dead Ahead" festival, which will take place January 9-13, 2025 in Riviera Cancun, Mexico.

The boys review the lineup including the absence of OG Grateful Dead member Mickey Hart, two bassists at the same time, and talk their view on what the festival could potentially look like.

Join Harry and Dean as they share a brand new, unique episode! In their second ever, “NOT Fave” list, the boys share their concert pet peeves.

While the guys ultimately share a combined list, they give many personal anecdotes and stories. The boys discuss everything from the time Harry got uncomfortably grinded on at the Goose pit, to Dean’s heated confrontation with an obnoxious Phish phan. This episode contains some serious tangents from Harry and relevant cautions from Dean, this episode was almost more of a therapeutic hashing out of unfortunate experiences in front of the mic.

This episode should serve as a cautionary tale to concert goers, but also ultimately (hopefully) should be an enjoyable listen.

Join Harry and Dean as they interview Eggy keyboardist, Dani Battat.

Eggy is an amazing up-and-coming jamband that are making waves in the scene, and Dani discusses their formation, what it’s like to live with your band, and finding his confidence as a keyboardist.

The boys also ask Dani how Eggy found a new, tight pop-rock sound with producer James Petralli, on their upcoming album, “Waiting Game” (out Sep. 6th). Dani discusses recording the album in Pasadena, California, and him and Dean bond over the Kacey Musgraves influence that has undeniably played an influence in their songs. Dani also talks Eggy’s approach to covering artists live, and even shares how their cover of “Interior People” came to be.

Lastly, Dani indulges the boys, sharing his list of his Five Fave Eggy songs, but adding his own superlative twist! Make sure to check out the songs Dani mentions in the playlist below:

Join Harry and Dean as they talk to guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Marc Ford.

Marc is best known as the lead guitarist for the Black Crowes from 1992-1997 and 2005-2006. Marc not only discusses his time in the Crowes, but walks the boys through his start in music. He also talks lesser known projects, such as his short lived blues Pink Floyd cover band, Blue Floyd, as well as Burning Tree and playing with Ben Harper and Lucinda Williams.

Marc also discusses his signature Bill Asher guitar and the process of pairing the sounds of a Les Paul and a Strat. He also talks about his time working as a producer for Red Shahan, and helping him find his sound.
