Children are reading less and less, but are we satisfied with readers if they are addicted to reading the wrong stuff-- Will they be lost in the metaphor, or will they find the right interpretation and application of the metaphor in real life-- We briefly consider the merits of Harry Potter, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
