1. COMMIT to missional SUBMISSION

Submission is the DIVINE CALLING of a wife to HONOR and AFFIRM her husband’s LEADERSHIP and help CARRY it through ACCORDING to her GIFTS

2. ADORN YOURSELF in missional MODESTY

     

     

3. LOOK UP to missional MODELS

Submission is not:

AGREEING completely

ABANDONING your brain

AVOIDING EFFORT to CHANGE him

ACCEPTANCE of sin

ABANDONING Christ’s strength

ACTING in fear

Have Faith By Looking to God Means:

We have faith by looking towards HIS holiness (v7)

We have faith by looking towards HIS faithfulness (v11)

We have faith by looking towards HIS future Kingdom (vv13-16)

We have faith by looking towards the riches of Christ (vv26-27)

Be subject to the king (v13-15)

Live to serve God (v16)

Honor all mankind (v17)Bran

Identify as God’s hand-built people on mission proclaiming the singular glory of Jesus

1. We Are God’s House (v4-8):

Built by the Father for the Father

The Lost are Found

The Guilty find Mercy

Mission is Natural

1. We are holy for one another (v22)

2. We celebrate our heritage (v23-25)

3. We love intentionally and protectively (2:1)

4. We eat together (2:2-3)

Jesus Christ mandates forgiveness

Forgiveness must be immediate, total, and unilateral.

Forgiveness is what we do:

Because rationalizations are foolish

Because failure is so destructive

Because God’s forgiveness demands it

Because the alternative is terrifying
