How do you see Jesus?1.  Do you see Jesus as savior v.29Romans 10:9-10, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”2.  Do you see Jesus as the greatest v.30-313.  Do you see Jesus as the one who gives the spirit to empower and assure us v.32-33Ephesians 1:13, In Christ you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it.”4.  Do you see Jesus was sent initiated by God v.34

To point others to Jesus….1.  Accept your calling to be a witness v.1Luke 1:17, “He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God.  And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”Luke 3:3, “The word of God came to John son of Zechariah in the wilderness.  He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.”2.  It’s not about who I am but WHO is in me v.19-223.  Be a voiceRomans 10:13-14, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”4.  Realize the urgency of the second coming of Christ v.24-28

The mission of Christ…1.  Relies on the necessity of people witnessing v.6-82.  Is the real truthful message v.93.  Reveals the true condition of man v.94.  Can lead to either rejection or reception v.10-125.  Gives people the right to be members of God’s family v.12-13

1.  Jesus is the revealer of God v.1-2Revelation 19:11-13, Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.”2.  Jesus is God yet distinct v.13.  Jesus is creator and sustainer of everything v.3Colossians 1:15-16, “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. How to face trials patiently…1.  Set my heart on the fact that Jesus is coming back v.7-82 Peter 3:3-4, “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.  They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”2 Peter 3:8-9, “But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.  The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness.”2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”2.  Control my emotions so my words won’t be hurtful v.9,123.  Shift my attention from myself to the lives of God’s servants v.10-11Romans 15:4, “For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”4.  Remind myself about the sovereignty and character of God v.11

Titus 1:5-9 “…appoint elders in every town as I directed you— if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. '
