God made a Promise to Abraham to bless all the nations of the earth through him. This Promise was before the Law given to Moses and remains intact. The Law was meant to reveal our need for the Promise, which is Jesus!

The Gospel is meant to be CLEAR - Jesus Saves Sinners! Unfortunately, people like to bring their own “bent” to the Gospel, making it complex and muddy. We must continually point people to eternity’s great math equation… Jesus, plus nothing equals everything.

The Gospel is the Emancipation Proclamation for sinful humanity. Jesus, the Son of God has secured our freedom, and we are meant to leave slavery to sin behind. Don’t let anyone trick you into putting the shackles of religion back on.

Who created everything? Who owns everything? Who purifies hearts and washes dirty hands? The is only ONE, and he is the King of Glory! Heads UP! Open the doors of your heart and make room for him!

Psalm 22 is a Messianic psalm reminding us that Jesus took the abuse by his community and was forsaken by God so that through faith in Jesus we could live a life of freedom and belonging. It is okay to lament and cry out to God for help but we are reminded that through Christ and what he did for us we can turn our lament to praise. 

People place their hope, faith and trust in many things, which continually let them down. The Followers of Jesus are to place their Trust in “In the Name of the Lord our God”. He has never failed us, and He Won’t!
