Harvest -what's the point of it? - 8th October 2023
Welcome to our Harvest Service where we ponder
what Harvest means to us, and how it is such a significant festival coming off the back of summer where we often think of self, and before Christmas and its
consumerism arrives. We recognise also that small actions lead to big reactions because of God. His generosity is such that no matter how small our faith or
our giving he can multiply greatly with the stories of the mustard seed and yeast. But we are reminded that though there are many blessings, we also remember
that we still live in the now and the not yet with the story of the wheat and the weeds. God holds the future.
Thank you to Andy and Susan for our bible
readings. Our donations will be going to the EK Community Foodbank
and if you can donate somewhere this Harvest time please do.
Due to my holidays there will be no podcast for the next couple of weeks but we will be back. Do check us out on social media as online services will still be available.
