Openmic community week 282: it's your girl harvodey and it's been a while here.

This week's theme is such a beautiful one and it gave me and inspiration to participate, so today I'll be doing a cover of #As you see me so by Tuface A.K.A Tubaba.

The theme for the openmic community this week is #Brother and this song helps me interpret the title in my best opinion.

The musician Tuface in this song #As you see me so# conveys a message that we all are brothers, in the sense that we have to go through the same struggle and bustle and no one can stand all alone. One way or the order you need a friend a brother, you know just someone in your corner.

Looking at this community for instance, if you don't have a friend or at least someone to like or comment on your post, no matter how interesting your voice sounds, it just feels empty, but if you have a lot of people in your circle, even when your music isn't too good you will have a lot of likes and probably votes.

So to me that's what it means when we say #Brother. Even the Bible says be your brothers keeper, so we must learn to love and appreciate one another as one big family. You should see everyone as your #Brother and #Sister. That's where love starts from.

This is a powerful song cause the lyrics is directly from the bible, let me quote this part, it says: For thou oh lord are a shield for me, my glory and the lifter of my head.

This is a Bible passage that can give you courage in the face of trouble or challenges of life.

Though the beauty of this song is majorly in the choir, I mean when you hear a group of people sing it together, you get that beauty of different voices using their parts with the coordinator conducting in front, it's so lovely.

When I saw the video I felt like I couldn't sing it, but this week I couldn't just think of any other song to sing cause it keeps ringing in my head, so I decided to be a one man choir🤣.

If you know the Brooklyn Terbernacle choir you will know their music is always giving, very beautiful set of #Choir. I can bet everyone of them is very good vocally and musically.

Joel Mettle is a Ghanaian gospel musician, he is an award winning minister that has sang along side international musicians like Donald Macauclin, Nathaniel Bassey etc. He is know for his powerful vocals and expression through music.

The part that really got me interested in this song was where he spoke the Ghanaian language: #Ama ma Kuma #ashama pardon me if I didn't write it correctly, but it just made me want to learn complete lyrics of the song.

And one thing I've learnt about being grateful is that, it can never be exhausted. The more you live, the more reasons you have to be grateful.

Sometimes you may feel like you haven't gotten your desires but I can tell you that gratitude brings more good things your way, and even puts you in a better mood, instead of been sad about your expectations not been met, you can rather be grateful for the little things that brings you joy.

Hello beautiful people. I'll be doing a cover of Uwese by Victoria Orenze. I'm harvodey and I'm glad to be a part of this weeks competition.

Uwese means thank you, this song is just and expression of gratitude to God for life and everything generally.

This is one of the Nigerian languages called #Urobo# I personally believe everyday should come with appreciation to God.

I'm grateful for my family, my friends and everything generally, so I'm hoping this song will communicate that to everyone listening.

Today marks a beautiful beginning for me as I remember vividly what I went through last year by this time as I struggled with this health challenge that threatened my peace.

Title of this song is #holla at your boy*. If you knew Wizkid years back, this was one of the songs that brought him to limelight. It was my favorite that year, though I wasn't so sure of the lyrics. Today I'm able to do this cover song, thanks to afritunes community for giving me this platform.

It's an hip-hop song, of a young man gyrating and enjoying his youthful age😊, Wizkid today is one of the .last adored and award winning Nigerian artist and he has done a lot by changing the narratives in the African music setting.

Hello open mic community week 273. I'm harvodey and I'll be doing a cover of Goodness of God by Cece winners. It's good to be back, and I'm glad to be among this weeks participant.

This is one of my favorite songs and I have been looking forward to sing it, thank God I finally got the privilege cause this weeks topic is fireworks Here in Nigeria, during festive periods especially Christmas and new year, you will hear sounds of knockout and see a lot of #fireworks beautifying the streets.

I remember vividly while growing up as a child, we go for cross-over service in church every thirty first of December so after happy new year, we start going home on the first of January and a lot of young guys most especially will be throwing knockouts and I get really scared of the sound and become clingy to my dad or my big sisters so I don't get hurt by the knock out. But fireworks is something I really love, most times I want to take a picture of it in the sky cause it looks so beautiful.

I like going to the city in the month of January cause most of the times we still have the Christmas decorations and fireworks for the rest of January. And it's really pleasant to the eyes. This songs brings me beautiful memories just like #fireworks.

This song is a subtle reminder that there is life after death. The death of a dear friend and brother actually brought back memories of this song, so I chose to sing it today, hopefully it touches a soul.

I know that there is a time and season for everything under the sun, but this song actually brought back the reminder, you know when you see someone today, sit together, gist and all, only to here that the person is gone forever, not for a few days or weeks but gone to never return. It's sad and painful but also reminds you to live a meaningful life. A kind of life that when you live people will have positive things to say about you.

At the song of service of this brother I'm talking about, you need to see different people talking about the kind of life he lived and the impact he has made through his music, his fashion sense and how he helps friends look good for their musical concerts. How he encourages people to give their all to there passion.🔥

I also remember how friendly he his and how he makes everyone laugh during rehearsals, we really miss his presence and I hope God fills up the gap he has left. I hope to live and impactful life and everyone reading this should strive to do so as well.

The title of my song today is I know Who I Am original singer is Sinach a Nigerian gospel musician, that has been really impactful with her music for a very long time, she has also been consistent over the years in her line of music.

This song is a Bible scripture: which says: we are a chose generation, a royal priesthood , a peculiar people an holy nation.

I believe I am really chosen for God's glory. And I hope everyone listening to my post understands they are special and have a divine assignment. Don't ever allow anyone think you're less human or you're not important.

If the Almighty says even the hairs of your head are numbered. Then he rest assured you're a V.V.I.P and always treat yourself as such.

Hi! guys or should I rather say my lovely audience it's a beautiful week, and I have a song to present titled #Goodbyes(the saddest words) originally by #Celine #Dion.

Celine Dion is a musician that is greatly reckoned with all over the world for her amazing voice, and powerful delivery of songs.

I have always looked forward to doing a cover of her song, though I know my voice is nothing close to hers ☺️. Hopefully someday, I will get to be more intentional about voice training or🤔 I should probably take a music class, yeah! Guess that will help a long way☺️.

Well, until then, let me enjoy my singing🥰! I dedicate this song to my beautiful mother, praying that she lives long to reap the fruit of her labour as well as my lovely dad of course 💕.
