We talked about the climate strikes that have been happening around the country this past year and what does environmental justice entail as a concept? Hey Jags!! I want to welcome you all back to Hash It Out! I hope everyone has had a good winter break and a good start to the semester! It’s a new year, new decade, and new us kind of thing. We’re bringing back some good topics for all of you to listen to. The first episode of the new semester is on the psychology behind systematic privilege. I'm joined by Cade Ryan, a fellow Social Justice Scholar. Throughout the semester, I will be joined by my fellow Scholars as co-hosts!

In the final two episodes of Hash It Out for the fall semester, we’re gearing up for Tunnel of Oppression. This week, I sit down with the room creators for this year’s Tunnel and discuss the process of creating the rooms and the inspiration behind the rooms. Topics include: colorism in the Black community, criminalization of homelessness, school shootings in America, and American colonization of Puerto Rico.

In this week's episode, I tackle the topic of colonization and the whitewashing of thanksgiving. In the first segment, we will be discussing the role of imperialism and colonization in shaping geopolitical landscapes. In the second part of the episode, I'm going to be in depth about the whitewashing of Thanksgiving.
