What happens when women’s safety becomes part of a much bigger political argument – and how do you actually get through to someone when you completely disagree?

This week, Natasha and Carla are joined by Femi Oluwole (@femi_sorry ) – political activist, creator and street interviewer, known for taking some of the biggest political arguments off the internet and talking them through face-to-face.

We get into the political narratives that form around women’s safety, how to challenge someone without immediately shutting down the conversation, and what Femi has learnt from speaking to people whose politics are worlds apart from his own.

We also talk about algorithms rewarding outrage over nuance, media literacy, why what men say when they’re around other men matters, and Femi’s own experiences – including how power and physical safety can completely change the way the same experience is understood.
