Week 15 - Battle of the Blue Bloods by Hat Trick Lacrosse Picks

We've arrived to the quarterfinal round. 8 teams remain. 2 games Saturday at Hofstra, 2 Sunday at Navy. Every team is just one win away from a championship weekend berth at Gillette Stadium. The favorites appear to be clear - including unseeded Notre Dame - the only question is if they can hold on.

We've got a bracket we largely expected with geography dictating the matchups rather than true seeding. Nonetheless, it's a fantastic slate for the first round with two compelling play-in games Wednesday afternoon. We talk the bracket, selection criteria, and, of course, we pick winners for all the games.

The singular greatest four day stretch of the college lacrosse season has arrived. Between today and Sunday, conference tourneys across the nation will determine who is safely in and who is sweating it out come selection Sunday evening. While we agree on most semi-final outcomes, we talk championships, at large selections, and seeding in this jam packed episode.

It's the final weekend of the regular season - and for the Big Ten & MAAC the start to the postseason. This is the last opportunity for teams to make an impression on the committee should they not be fortunate to win their AQ. A loss on the final weekend of May does not bode well for national tournament aspirations. Tune in, as always we've got you covered.

Week 11 will provide the nation a lot of the clarity it needs regarding who's hosting conference tourneys and what the quarter/semi-final matchups will be. Teams like Yale, Loyola, and essentially the entire Big East know they only path to the dance is that coveted AQ.

Not in recent memory has there been such a crowded top and middle tier of college lacrosse teams. While Cornell is a unanimous No. 1, they are by no means a certain lock for national champion and will be tested by the Orange this weekend on Long Island. The Big Ten is showing out as the most competitive/best conference of 2025 - could we see 4 of the B1G’s finest in the big dance?

The bubble of at large teams is growing as squads with poor starts to the year are finding form, while others who were perceived locks are starting to slip. This week is all about getting out of the bubble conversation and into the locked category. A ton of great conference matchups await!

We’re back from Dreiband’s bachelor party weekend in Charleston and ready to run it back after an absolutely wild weekend in the Division I landscape.
