A legend active since the golden 90s, DJ Dextro unleashed his signature sound on the A-Side: deep, rhythmic swing with a modern twist and a feeling of being stuck in a tunnel you'd rather not leave.

The B-Side is dedicated to Exos, an Icelandic force of nature - known for his intelligent, futuristic pressure while staying true to his edge.

Both artists contributed a remix, reinterpreting each other’s perspectives on the state of techno, resulting in a Six-Track EP of unstoppable energy.

Pōnky is the 480th guest of our original HATE Podcast series.

In this set, Ponky explores the hypnotic side of techno: driving energy, fluid percussion, and immersive loops that pull the listener into a continuous state of movement. The groove is constant, but never static — small details appear and disappear, synths swirl through space, and the rhythm unfolds like a living organism. As the set evolves, the intensity rises through thicker arrangements and more complex rhythmic structures.

The hypnotic groove remains the guiding force, but the sonic palette expands gradually, revealing new textures and emotional depth.Toward the final part of the set, the energy begins to transform. The dense rhythmic layers slowly open up, making space for more melodic elements to emerge.

This final chapter reflects everything the collaboration has stood for across a trio of inventive techno releases on SHDW's imprint.

Creative and life partners ANNĒ and Sera J have been two voices growing in parallel, evolving separately but moving with the same pulse. ANNĒ is well established thanks to standout EPs on the likes of Soma and Hardgroove, while Sera J has released on the likes of Life in Patterns and Renegade Methodz, and both have featured on Mutual Rytm’s ‘Federation Of Rytm’ series before now. ‘Symbiosis III’ is the moment where everything comes full circle: the culmination of a journey built on respect, creativity, and the freedom to explore their own paths while lifting each other forward.

Sera J kicks off with ‘Ransomware’, a commanding and driving techno cut lit up with flashy synths but always moving with urgency. ‘Phosphate’ keeps the energy levels high with stripped-back drums and bass designed to perfection, while ‘Anthrax’ has an anxious edge. The synths are wispy but evocative as bass kills and swiping filters bring the drama.

ANNĒ then ups the ante with the acid-tinged ‘Dementia’, which is loopy and unrelenting before ‘A Taste of a Real Woman’ gets more seductive with a sultry spoken word and sustained chords that bring the paranoia. ‘Heart Rate’ is propulsive with Detroit-style synth soul and an aching vocal, before Sera J returns with ‘On the Run’ - a percussive, trippy and eerie roller. His final Cut ‘Similar Minds’ has a searching synth surveying a desolate landscape, before ANNĒ then closes the EP with the punchy drum patterns and icy hi hats of ‘Primal Howl Of Ego’ and a blend of deep drums and evocative synth work on the ‘Analog Heartbeat’ - which proves potent techno can be beautiful.

Rene Wise & Ignez open the release with Anjos , pairing Wise’s tactile, percussive pressure with Ignez’s expansive, oceanic pads. The result sits at the intersection of functional drive and elevated, almost devotional space, re fl ecting a new generation’s approach to techno as both tool and inner landscape. Norbak’s remix draws the track further inward, deepening its hypnotic pull and extending its energy into a more meditative, slow-burning form.

On the B-side, Claudio PRC & Luigi Tozzi present Onirica , a deeply restrained and immersive composition rooted in atmosphere, spatial detail and subtle psychedelia. Unfolding with patience, it rewards attentive listening and long-form dance fl oor contexts. Markus Suckut closes the EP by reducing Onirica to its bare essentials, applying his signature economy and precision to heighten tension and focus.

Coalescence re fl ects The Third Room’s vision of techno as a shared terrain, where different voices and generations meet, align and quietly reinforce one another.

The EP opens with Jett, a powerful and melodic cut marked by Bidoben’s unmistakable sonic identity, followed by Voltage C, a refined and minimal piece with a subtle epic touch. Based in Toledo and Madrid, Ribé & Roll Dann are exciting residents at Laster Madrid and Lanna Club, two of Spain's leading venues. Emerging as driving forces in their national techno scene, they have also made an impact on the global landscape, making wider moves through collaborative releases on Klockworks, and individual outings on a number of other influential labels. Having previously featured in the label’s Federation of Rytm IV compilation, the pair make their full EP label on SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint to open March with a deep dive into their expansive sound.

Opener ‘Sub Terra’ is a pure club tool that is direct, physical and rooted in the underground with a seriously heavy low end. ‘Extra Lumen’ is more restrained but still built on a steady, forceful rhythm with controlled energy that prefers to operate in the shadows. ‘Ars Non Placens’ stays true to the idea that music is not made to please, but to exist on its own terms with hunched drums and dubby undercurrents. Next, ‘Meritum Negatum’ fizzes with static electrical charge and minimal drum funk and is a direct reflection on overlooked skill and unacknowledged work, before closer ‘Virtus Persistens’ delivers a continuity and a steady pulse rather than an explosive ending, keeping you locked throughout.

In addition, three digital bonus cuts come alongside the vinyl package. ‘Labor Inauditus’ speaks to hours of technique, production and booth experience that remain invisible. Next come the taught, rubbery rhythms and unrelenting atmosphere of 'Silentium Testium’, while ‘Sine Aplausu’ - which means without applause - brings a ghostly late night vibe that you will never want to end.

Dense, rolling rhythms reminiscent of early ’00s Stockholm techno, combined with a catchy repeating vocal sequence (one of Lag’s trademark techniques) and rising sirens, result in the monster opening title track “Absolution”. “Aim Without Mercy” is another club destroyer - jabbing keys, broken jagged beats, and a series of rising pressure points making it another winner. “The Blessed” meanwhile, shifts the mood from mental to majestic, with interchanging leads and reverb-drenched climaxes marking the big-room peak of the record. Rounding things off is Irish wunderkind Dylan Fogarty, who reimagines “Aim Without Mercy” through a deep and psychedelic lens, layering textural collages over surging, jacking 909s.
