Welcome back to the Girl and a Flamingo podcast! Today, we are exploring some of Downtown Orlando’s most haunted sites and the stories of the supernatural spirits that lurk there. Orlando is known for its theme parks and tourist attractions, but there are mysteries apart from the world of the living that haunt the streets of the downtown to this day. We journey through key places in Orlando that are known for their haunted happenings. First, we travel through one of the most haunted cemeteries in Florida, Greenwood Cemetery. Greenwood Cemetery is known for the celebrity of spirits that reside there and the experiences that surrounding residents have reported. I recount stories, share interesting facts, and haunting history of the cemetery. We then make our way down to Pine Street to explore another haunting hotspot, The Rogers Building. With a fascinating history, we learn why the halls of The Rogers Building are haunted today. We learn what the building is used for today and how its ghostly residents make their appearances to spook visitors. After making a couple more stops along the way, we end our journey through Downtown Orlando’s haunting history at the Carey Hand Building. Here, a creepy carpenter turned undertaker did his work. After the building was torn down and rebuilt, presences began to haunt the building.
