Have You Ever Listened to This? Podcast

We got ourselves a doozy here folks! Josh and Evan naively discuss the current American political landscape, describe what music they'd play as they attempted to overthrow the government, and what music would unite all Americans. They also discuss what genres would win in a street fight, and the day-to-day life of a woman married to a man who loves progressive rock. Last, but not least, we explain Skyline chili to our one fan from Argentina who stumbled upon our podcast. Thanks Matías!

We're back for this Christmas Eve episode! For our first episode since August, we randomly drift from nonsense to nonsense topic, occasionally saying something significant. All things Christmas are discussed, including our musical Christmas wishlists and our top 5 Christmas songs. We also talk about the cultural impact of Wham!'s 'Last Christmas', Evan discovers John Mulaney checked into rehab, and why Festivus is superior to Christmas Eve Eve.

On today's episode, Josh and Evan review Taylor Swift's surprise album, Folklore. And, because they can, they rank all 8 of T-Swift's albums. They also talk about artistic integrity, whether or not 1989 sounds like a The 1975 album, and Mister Rogers.

In our first deep artist dive, Josh describes the seminal 80s alternative band the Replacements in far more detail than anybody probably ever wanted. Josh goes through their entire history, the highs and lows, the drinking and the sadness. We also talk about visiting the Eiffel tower in NYC, the Rolling Stones Top 500 Albums list, the definition of music, and Ben Shapiro. Here's the Replacements starter playlist mentioned in the episode: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/34XoKLyS9y1GYHlz2atAbF?si=N41NJpoSSmydPeb8WZhxFg

In our next episode, Josh explains one of his favorite albums ever, Permanent Waves by Rush, to Evan and why it's an incredible album. We also talk about the movie Big (for some reason), Discogs.com, Josh's back problems, and Evan clarifies his use of cocaine.

We're finally back for our second episode which was recorded and edited much faster than our first. We talk about the music we loved from 2019, pitch Ronan Farrow as the lead of a Frank Sinatra bio-pic, and discuss what songs turn us into blubbering messes. Intro/Outro music courtesy of bensound.com.

On our very first episode, Josh and Evan talk about Miles Davis, Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem, and force one another to make arguments they would never make. Yes, we realize this sounds like we recorded this with a spoiled potato, the next episode will be better, we promise!
