Have You Ever One-dered??

Glad we continued this! We get to talk about one thing you proly don’t need, and another that perhaps you really do. (Plus lots more.)

Enjoy your trip,

C

Y’all, I am two-question-mark-level incredulous about this situation. Come on in; this is important.

You can still be you AND care for others,

C

You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing.

I’m glad you’re here,

C

Unconventional choices can work out :)

Free will is a thing,

C

It’s a Song of the Week!

I am so excited to present to you this brand new music-centered feature on the show.

Last year we had a blast (my word) listening to 300 albums and discussing them together. Ever since I have known that we were going to get back to holding space to talk specifically about music on the pod, regularly.

And just about a year after we started that massive undertaking, the time is now!!

So instead of album after album, we’re going to talk about ONE SONG AT A TIME.

This week’s FIFTIETH installment song is from Artist: Edwin Starr

And is called “War.”

It is from his 3rd studio album: War And Peace

You can listen to his album version here: https://youtu.be/hZJRJpbGkG4?s...

The Temptations album version here: https://youtu.be/b0e6Ymjajn8?s...

And watch the video here: https://youtu.be/01-2pNCZiNk?s...

Plus you can almost always grab a preview on my IG @whereschloe; it’s up on the profile.

There is no hierarchy; these songs are going to be in basically a random order, chosen for reasons that I’ll most likely expound upon within the episode. Along with an array of background, inspirations, time frame, album order, cultural context, related themes, personal experiences, etc.

Any genre artist decade that I would listen to is up for grabs and who’s to know what will be next and why? ;)

Remember your favorites.
Discover something new.

One song of the week at a time for however long works.

I’m ELATED that you’re along for the ride,

C

If you have a trip to somewhere coming up, and you’d like to have items with you that have a good chance at increasing convenience, ease, and/or comfort- I can vouch for a bunch these items, or their similarly useful counterparts.

Safe travels,

C

READ DESCRIPTION: Édité. Oh boy was there ever a not-caused-by-me technical issue today! Thankfully I make a simultaneous backup recording of every episode (seriously) but the mic I use for that has a slightly different sound quality from the main mic. So if you notice a difference, that’s why. Crisis averted!

And now..

We did it! We considered every single one :)

Inhale Joy, Exhale Satisfaction.

Did you figure out what you want?

C

It’s a few strong suggestions of what NOT to do, from ppl who have seen some tough things.

Free will is a gift,

C

What if a little time in nature is just what you need?

(Or a lot.)

Deep breaths, fresh air,

C
