  • Eve Rodsky: New York Times Best Selling Author of Fair Play

Organizational Management Specialist and Harvard Educated Lawyer Eve Rodsky was compelled to investigate the domestic imbalance affecting so many households when an incident involving her failure to remember blueberries triggered an awareness of the gender disparity in her own relationship and home.  Eve tells Sara how a crowd sourced “Shit I Do” List initially sent to her husband became the basis for her New York Times Bestselling Book ‘Fair Play’.   Rodsky takes us through the fun and easy to tackle set of systems she's created to find a better rebalance and quell domestic encroachment on our innate right to singularity of thought and finding our Unicorn Space, which she defines as the allowance to pursue the things that make you YOU!

  • Welcome to Having It All And Other Lies!

HI! I’m Sara Riff, and welcome to Having It All & Other Lies. I created this podcast as an opportunity to engage with people I admire about the pressures that we all feel. We’ll talk about letting go of the expectation for perfection, embracing the chaos and realizing that having it all looks very different to each of us. With a full time career and two little kids, I know that there is a fine line between leaning in and falling over. What started as us being told we can be anything turned into an expectation that we have to be everything and simultaneously. We now live in a culture where we feel like we have to do it all, be it all, have it all, and I think that has left us feeling like we’re coming up short most of the time. So I want to sit down and speak with people I look up to and dispel the myth that anyone feels like they have it all figured out or that they’re killing it in every facet of their life all of the time. Instead, we talk honestly about redefining what success and happiness looks like to each of us because ultimately the only definition that matters is our own. The more people I speak with, the more clear it is that we are all doing our best, kicking fearlessly under the water to keep the surface appearing calm, as we fight to swim upstream. Let’s learn from each other, how to strive for the most while recognizing the value in what we already have.
