Our special guest speaker, Kit Dotson from the Emmanuel Christian Seminary, lays out 5 principles of ministry from Matthew 14:13-21, when Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000. We are able to take these principles and utilize them in our daily lives, regardless of our role in building God's Kingdom.

The truth is that God does not require anything of us in order to be worthy of love and acceptance.

In Part 3 of the Vision and Outreach of HCC series, Pastor Kevin reminds us that God doesn’t call the qualified, but rather he qualifies the called. The “underdog” stories of Notre Dame walk-on football player Rudy Ruettiger and Scripture’s Gideon are used to show that with God all things are possible. Though being outwardly focused can be challenging, it is what we must do to be faithful to that which the Lord has called us to.

Pastor Kevin presents the story of Nehemiah, whose vision was to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and accomplished it in 52 days. Vision is something to focus all your energy on, and for Hays Christian Church, that means missions and outward focus.
