In this episode we're chatting with Danny Shaheen. Danny is a psychotherapist and musician from Minneapolis. We talk about the ever-changing process of deciding how to spend your time along with what influences that personally for us right now.

What does your grief process look like? What's the most beneficial support you've received while grieving?

This week we're talking to Maitreyi. An artist and writer from Minneapolis. While Maitreyi's work deals with a span of topics, I remember one of my first experiences of being struck by some of their work that had to do with the passing of their father.

September is the 3 year anniversary of that loss for them and it seemed fitting to dedicate this episode to grief. We talk about the different faces of grief as well as different ways we've dealt with it. This was a really tender episode and I'm so thankful it's something that we both wanted to talk about.

Does everyone feel attraction? Does everyone express it in the same way if they do? How is life different when you don't see a monogamous relationship as the ultimate end goal? 

How radical are you and what waves have you ridden to get where you are? What's it like to be femme in a public space? What's something you do that makes life exciting?

How do we show people we see them "differently". What's the "nicest" form of homophobia you've ever encountered? Why is it important to be able to have honest conversations with people you work for?

What is your ideal working environment? What could you do if the resources you needed for a project were already at your disposal?

When you get dressed, do you ask yourself if you look attractive? Every time? Why? What do the pronouns you use say about you? to other people? Do having conversations solve anything?
