If you haven't met Dan Noonan yet, here is your opportunity! In this episode we turn the table on our cohost and get to know Dan even better!
Dan is an engaging, inquisitive, and driven, cardiac electrophysiologist, sports & exercise cardiologist, and general cardiologist. His clinical practice focuses primarily on minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat heart rhythm disorders, medical treatment of heart rhythm disorders, as well as sports & exercise cardiology. Dan trained at the Universities of Missouri, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Utah. He is the Governor for the American College of Cardiology, Idaho Chapter and was selected in 2020 to the American College of Cardiology Leadership Academy, an exclusive 2 year leadership training program. He has served on the Board of Directors at Make-A-Wish Idaho and Ballet Idaho, as well as the Advisory Board for a Fortune 500 medical device company. He continues to be active in cardiovascular research trials and publishing original research. Dan has had the rare and wonderful opportunity to participate in yearly a Cardiovascular Humanitarian Medical Mission in Cambodia and Vietnam, where he is able to bring his skills as a cardiac electrophysiologist to less fortunate patients in Southeast Asia. Dan is a lifelong athlete and sports/training/exercise, continue to be a daily and integral aspect of his life. He has devoted his life to helping people and he is convinced that this is the next step to help, not just one patient at a time, but hopefully substantial numbers of people…during every podcast.
It is Dan’s belief, and a significant driver for the podcast, that our “healthcare” system is no longer healthcare, but rather SICK-care. He has developed and fostered a passion for prevention, wellness, and longevity, whilst on the frontlines of SICK-care delivery, where it has become apparent that as a society, we are missing a golden opportunity. Cardiovascular illness is the number one cause of mortality worldwide….and it is PREVENTABLE in the majority of cases. And, he believes that there are many other comorbidities that can be prevented just by being healthy and fostering what the body was MADE to do. According to Dan, “If we could put exercise, a good diet, good sleep, and genuine kindness in a pill, it would be the single most effective pill in the history of humankind, and probably curtail 10 of the most common diseases on the planet.” He believes that as a society, we can, should, and must significantly improve wellness and prevention strategies and embrace being proactive rather than reactive. He believes that nobody and no organization, will be as empowered, equipped, or motivated as YOU, to learn & adapt strategies to become your own, well-informed advocate!
Dan’s hope in bringing this podcast to listeners, is that together with his longtime friend Drea and their invited guests and experts, they can explore a full range of topics that will be broadly applicable to anyone who simply wants to live their most fulfilling life. Enjoy!

Do you love the life you live?
Loving the life you have is not an event, it’s a process. Too many of us are waiting for something big to change in our lives so that we can finally say we’re truly happy. You might think if I only had a different partner (or one at all), a better job, or kids that listen to what I’m saying, then surely I’d be happy and have a life truly worth living. But being happy isn’t something that happens based on how others are living or what people are doing for you. Happiness starts from within. The quickest way to living a life you love is through learning to love the life you live. In order to accomplish or succeed in any great endeavor, it must first start with you.
In this episode we sit down with Kaleb Redden, DO - a man that loves his life. We talk though some of the incredible experiences life has thrown at him and he explains how he has come to love the life he lives. When Kaleb created an Instagram account a few years ago, he had no dreams of it eventually playing a role in catapulting him to a successful run on NBC's "The Titan Games". All he wanted to do was post genuine, evidence-based content and help potential patients get to know him.
Dr. Kaleb Redden, otherwise known as Doc Thor or (@muscledoc_kr), is a sports medicine physician. His aspirations of becoming a professional football player were derailed due to a significant back injury while in college at Utah State University. Instead of becoming a professional athlete, he pursued a career as a physician and now takes care of the pros in clinic.
Dr. Kaleb Redden DO, ABFP, CAQSM, CRP is a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician specializing in non-operative management of orthopedic injury in pediatric and adult patients including shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, wrist, ankle, neck and back injuries. He also has special training in the use of ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional purposes, including minimally invasive procedures and targeted injections. Along with treatment of both acute and chronic injury, Dr. Redden is highly trained in sports performance and sports nutrition with a special interest in fitness. He is also a certified ring-side physician and combat sports medicine specialist currently serving as the deputy commissioner and chief medical officer for the Idaho Athletic Commission.
Kaleb is married with three children. In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights and spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, mountain biking, playing sports, and riding motorcycles. His favorite quote is: ”There is no substitute for strength and no excuse for lack of it.”.
We hope this episode not only gives entertains you but hopefully it will inspire you to fall in love with your life. Follow us on social media to continue the conversation and get tips and tricks on how to apply these things to your life.
