I was born and raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and graduated with the class of 2003. I went to college, where I played baseball, and that’s where I met Sarah. After I stopped playing, we entered the casino business, which took me to several different locations — from Durant, Oklahoma, to Kansas City, and then to Toledo, Ohio.

In 2019, after an apartment fire tragically claimed the lives of four of my family members, we knew it was time to return to Guthrie. We moved back in 2021 and purchased a franchise. I also work part-time with GPS. Sarah and I have three boys.

Melissa White moved to Guthrie in 2016 with her husband and three children, drawn by a desire to be part of a small-town community. She began her journey with Guthrie Public Schools as a kindergarten paraprofessional, later became a certified teacher, and now serves as the librarian at Central Elementary.

Carole Seid is an educational consultant and public speaker with a master’s degree in education. Her passion is helping families inspire a love of books in their children. Six years ago, she moved to Guthrie to be near her grandchildren, a decision she considers one of the best she has ever made.

Since arriving, Carole has worked alongside other dedicated community members to restore the civic pool in Highland Park to its former glory. The group is currently working to raise significant funds to rebuild the pool to its original size.

Jennifer Husmann is the owner of Ladybug Lane Flower Farm, a fresh cut flower operation specializing in wholesale flowers for florists, CSA subscriptions, and You-Pick events as part of Oklahoma Agritourism. Deeply engaged in her community, Jennifer serves on the board of the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and actively participates in its initiatives. She is also involved with Logan County Sooner Success, where she helps facilitate their bi-monthly respite care program by leading the Sibshop program for siblings of children with special needs.
