Are you in a unlikely, unwanted family situation? Are you in a undesired family estrangement?
In todays episode, we’re talking about How God Uses the Unlikely (and scripture reading from Hebrews 7–8)
Brittany shares a message from Hebrews 7–8 on how God uses the unlikely and unwanted, especially in seasons of hurt, pain, and estrangement. She explains the shift from the Levitical priesthood (Levi and Aaron) to Jesus as the eternal priest in the order of Melchizedek, highlighting that Jesus came from the tribe of Judah rather than Levi and how this points to a better covenant based on better promises. Using examples from Genesis (Judah, Joseph) and Scripture’s pattern of God working through broken situations, she teaches that God not only does the unlikely but uses unlikely circumstances to heal, restore, and draw people near to Him. She encourages listeners to run to God in prayer, open the Bible, allow God to heal and comfort them, and be willing to follow His nudges to encourage others.

In this episode, we discuss someone who walked through family estrangement, family betrayal, and deep emotional pain while keeping Christ at the center. If you are estranged from parents or family, this episode will help you see and experience God’s unconditional love during your own estrangement.
Genesis 37, highlighting Jacob’s favoritism, Joseph’s dreams, the brothers’ repeated hatred and jealousy, their plan to kill Joseph, Reuben’s intervention, Joseph being thrown into a cistern, sold for 20 pieces of silver to traders, and later sold to Potiphar in Egypt while Jacob mourns.
Many times family betrayal and estrangement is like living in a “foreign land” and we see what that’s like in this new series.
We also go over
Scriptures for confusion, discernment, and how to know what to do when our circumstances don’t change and if something is in alignment with God or not and also choosing Spirit-led responses moving forward.

Are you grieving someone who is still alive? Are you stuck in a season of long-term grief, sadness, or depression that just won’t lift? This message is for the person who has been mourning for far too long.
In this episode of Pure Surrender Podcast, Brittany Hall walks through 1 Samuel 15–16 and the powerful moment when God tells Samuel:
“You have mourned long enough.”
Samuel grieved constantly for Saul — someone still living. And maybe you are grieving:
• A relationship you never had
• A parent who was emotionally unavailable
• A friendship that ended
• A job you lost
• A season you can’t go back to
• A person who is still alive, but no longer in your life
This is not a message for fresh grief.
This is for the person who has been dwelling in it for months… maybe years.
In this episode, we talk about:
✨ What it means to grieve someone still alive
✨ The Hebrew meaning of “mourn” in 1 Samuel
✨ Why God isn’t saying “get over it”
✨ What “fill your horn with oil” really represents
✨ How to move forward with God after prolonged grief
✨ Being used by God after heartbreak
God still used Samuel.
And He can still use you.
If you’ve been living in a constant emotional state of grief, this message will gently guide you toward healing, purpose, and movement again.

If you’ve been feeling stuck—spiritually stagnant, emotionally exhausted, or trapped in the same cycles year after year—this episode is for you.
In this powerful episode of the Pure Surrender Podcast, host Brittany Hall shares a Holy Spirit–led message about breaking generational cycles, dismantling old foundations, and stepping into the new place God is calling you to. Drawing from Deuteronomy 1:6–8, we explore God’s loving command: “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.”
This episode speaks directly to those who have lived too long in survival mode—carrying biological family trauma, betrayal, grief, fear, or limiting beliefs—and are ready to heal with Christ at the center. Just as the Israelites were called to break camp, dismantle their tents, and trust God into the Promised Land, you are being invited to leave behind what no longer serves God’s purpose in your life.
Inside this episode, you’ll hear:
•What it means—biblically and spiritually—to “break camp”
•How old mindsets, family patterns, and learned behaviors can keep us stuck
•Why God sometimes asks us to dismantle what we’ve known before rebuilding something new
•How to trust God when you can’t see every step
•Reflection questions to help you step into healing, obedience, and freedom through Christ
This message is for the one who is tired of circling the same mountain.
For the one healing from generational trauma.
For the one learning to trust God instead of self-sufficiency.
For the one ready to move forward—even if it feels scary.
You are not disqualified by where you’ve been.
You are called, chosen, and invited into something new.
It’s time to break camp.
It’s time to move on.
It’s time to occupy the place God has already given you.

Are you walking through a family estrangement from your own mother, father or maybe even entire family? Have you tried pouring out your heart, from the depths of your soul, just to be left unheard time and time again? Have you spent years, maybe even your whole life, feeling unloved, unwanted and all alone – even if your parents were right next to you? Do thoughts of “Will I ever be enough?” or “Do I even matter?” cross your mind?
I want to start off by saying I’m so sorry you are walking through this. You matter and you are more than enough! This podcast will help you see that you are fully loved, never alone and always chosen – every. single. time. – in the name of Jesus Christ!
Hi, I'm Brittany Hall! A mother, wife, and follower of Christ. I was just a small girl when my dad walked away the first time and only 7 days postpartum, with my first child, when my mom walked away too.
After going through an extremely traumatic birth experience, and even more traumatic family experience, I had no choice, but to protect my marriage and my child from the generational trauma I was experiencing in the present day. This wasn't about a single event or wounds of the past, but rather a harmful family system that was still alive and active in the present day.
I know the pain all too well of feeling unloved, unwanted, unseen and unheard by not one, but both of my parents, all while learning how to be a new parent myself.
Not only did this estrangement affect the relationship I had with my parents, but it also unexpectedly, affected my relationships with the entire family dynamic.
To say I felt loneliness, isolation and postpartum depression, would be an understatement. All at once, my world was crashing all around me.
And no matter how hard my husband cared for me, loved me, and supported me, it still wasn’t enough to fill the deep void of my entire family’s absence.
But through this pain… I ran to God! Through deception, betrayal and persecution, from my own biological family… I ran to Jesus.
And he taught me… What a beautiful, eternal father and mother our Lord really is!
One of… unconditional, parental love, with wholeness and peace, consistency and stability, predictability and care. A parent that loves me, sees me and hears my cries. This is our God.
Psalms 27:10, it says: “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.”
God will not do what your parents did. God will not do what worldly family dysfunction has. And generational chains will break in the name of Jesus!
So if you're ready to experience this type of love, to have Christ-centered healing that will transform your life, and finally stop doing it all on your own -- then open your bible and let’s purely surrender together, at the feet of Jesus.
