In this biblical series, we explore how faith, Scripture, and spiritual discipline shape emotional regulation and nervous system stability. Discover how biblical emotional intelligence can help you stay grounded, resilient, and spiritually aligned, even under pressure. This is the first of many conversations we will be having, with the hope of equipping our community with the knowledge and the right tools to live more meaningful lives.
The repetition of unhealthy patterns doesn't mean we're not learning from our mistakes. It just means we haven't learned to self-regulate in the face of unmet needs. It means the weight of our unmet needs outweighs the memory of the consequences of all our previous mistakes and setbacks. Until the need if met or we learn to self regulate, we will remain stuck in the cycle of dysfunction.
Your relationship with both yourself and other people is primarily determined/shaped by the relationship/s you had with your parents/primary caregivers. The quality of adult choices you make is also primarily determined by the state of your inner child (the memory of your childhood experiences). There is no way of improving the quality of your life without taking stock of your past and repairing what needs to be repaired. in This video, Chris talks about the importance of understanding your background and why its important to self develop and equip yourself best to confront anything that is taking away from your ability and right to live a fulfilling life.
