Pisces New Moon
March 18, 2026 — 28 degrees of Pisces
This Pisces New Moon occurs on March 18th at 28 degrees of Pisces, only one degree away from the final degree of the entire zodiac.
There is deep symbolism in this placement.
We are standing at the threshold of the zodiac itself — the final inhale before the astrological new year begins with the Spring Equinox on March 20th.
There are four planets plus the North Node in Pisces, with the North Node sitting at the same degree as Mercury retrograde.
This New Moon is not just about new beginnings.
It is about the sacred work of endings.
The Final Chapter
We have talked a lot this year about endings, resets, and new beginnings.
That is because the sky itself has been preparing us for the turning of the astrological wheel.
The Sun and Moon join together in Pisces — the sign that lives between worlds. Between the spiritual and the physical. Between dream and reality. Between the past and the future.
When the New Moon occurs at such a late degree of Pisces, something inside of us becomes very aware of what is old, expired, and complete.
And Pisces reminds us:
If we do not consciously release what is finished, it begins to quietly create chaos in our future.
Mercury Retrograde: Messages from the Deep
This New Moon is surrounded by what I like to call a school of fish — a Pisces stellium that includes Mars, Mercury retrograde, and the North Node.
Mercury stationed retrograde on February 26th and will move direct on March 20th, the same day as the Spring Equinox.
Can I get a hallelujah?
Mercury retrograde in Pisces is not about logistical confusion alone.
It is about internal messages.
Messages from memory. Messages from the subconscious. Messages from the soul.
Many of us have felt this retrograde in very tangible ways.
If your schedule has felt like a game of hide-and-seek… I see you.
If deep emotions from the past have resurfaced in your closest relationships… I see you.
If travel plans shifted unexpectedly… I see you.
If your body asked for rest through illness or exhaustion… I see you.
If the last few weeks felt like a spiritual initiation… I definitely see you.
Mercury retrograde in Pisces activates memories so that we can clearly see what absolutely cannot move forward with us if we are choosing to live out our destiny.
A quote from one of my favorite films, Waking Life, captures this perfectly:
“Dream is destiny.”
And that is the essence of this Pisces New Moon.
The Fire-Starters: Aries Energy Awakening
Outside of the Pisces waters, we have three planets and Chiron in Aries.
These are the fire-starters.
Neptune — ruler of Pisces — is now in Aries, activating the dream itself.
Saturn in Aries provides the discipline and boundaries needed to make that dream real.
Venus in Aries awakens a new honoring of our individuality and our desires.
And Chiron in Aries reminds us that vulnerability is part of the path toward fully expressing who we are.
This is the moment where the dream begins to find its courage.
Uranus: The Final Chapter of a Long Story
The Sun and Moon form a supportive sextile to Uranus in Taurus.
Taurus is the builder.
It asks us to create stability — something solid enough to hold the dream.
Uranus, however, is the planet of sudden insight and awakening.
Sometimes gentle. Sometimes shocking.
Uranus is finishing its time in Taurus and will move into Gemini on April 25th, remaining there until 2033.
Whenever an outer planet prepares to leave a sign, the final months often bring last-minute developments.
Uranus entered Taurus in 2018.
Take a moment to reflect on that timeline.
What has been renovated in your life since then?
What has been demolished?
What foundations have been rebuilt?
This New Moon may reveal the final pieces of that transformation.
Crossing the Threshold
The Sun and Moon are also in an out-of-sign conjunction with Neptune, only three degrees away in Aries.
Energetically, this creates a threshold.
A doorway.
A crossing point between the past and the future.
Between confusion and clarity.
Between dreaming and doing.
Over the coming weeks, each Pisces planet will move into Aries.
And on April 17th, the Aries New Moon will arrive with seven planets in Aries.
After a long chapter of feeling lost, movement will return swiftly.
Venus Square Jupiter: Healing the Past
Venus in Aries forms an exact square with Jupiter in Cancer.
This is a cardinal square — tension between two forms of leadership.
Venus in Aries asks us to honor our current desires.
Jupiter in Cancer asks us to honor our history.
Squares create friction.
But Jupiter tends to benefit any aspect it touches.
So the question becomes:
What beliefs from the past are still slowing you down?
What old stories are still playing in the background?
This New Moon invites us to declare:
I am willing to release the beliefs that have kept me small.
Because once we reach the Aries New Moon in April, we will have very little patience for hesitation.
The path must be cleared.
Saturn Sextile Pluto: Serious Transformation
Saturn in Aries forms a supportive sextile with Pluto in Aquarius.
These two planets do not play games.
Saturn builds the structure.
Pluto transforms the foundation.
Together they ask:
Who are you in this collective transformation?
And are you willing to fully step into that role?
This is not just personal change.
It is collective evolution.
Jupiter Trine Mars: Reframing the Past
Jupiter is also in a wider trine with Mars during this New Moon.
Mars has been deeply involved in the Pisces review process alongside Mercury retrograde.
He is looking back at his past actions.
Jupiter brings perspective.
Wisdom.
Reframing.
Together they are preparing Mars to begin a brand new cycle in Aries.
And when Mars enters that next chapter, he will be ready to move forward with confidence instead of regret.
