4th Sun Easter “Recognizing His Voice”

Ever been surprised by something and then think, “I should have seen that one coming”. In todays gospel Jesus is preparing his disciples and all of us that if we stand with Him we are standing against ‘the world’ and ‘The World’ has at the center of its dogma a belief that can be summed up in a sentence from the Supreme Court ruling Planned Parenthood vs Casey: “At the heart of liberty is the right to define ones own concept of existence, of meaning, and the mystery of human life”.  Be prepared, the world is very much threatened by anyone who would contradict those core beliefs by maintaining that God, not man is the center of all reality. “Blessed are those who are persectued for the sake of righteousnes, the kingdom of heaven is theirs”. 

St. Thomas Aquinas defines ‘Delight’ as resting in the possession of some good.  What or who do you delight in? When have you been delighted in?
