Breakups are a sad part of life, especially friendship breakups. They can be even more painful than breaking things off in a romantic relationship. More often, there's deep levels of trust and vulnerability that is shared.

However, when a friendship turns toxic and it's easy to see how it may not be healthy to continue, a breakup can be a necessity to your mental health. When do you know it’s time to break up with a friend? What are the toxic signs you should look out for? How do you even go about having this conversation? We're learning to recognize subconscious patterns that are manifesting in our friendship that can lead to toxicity and allowing ourselves to heal in order to save ourselves.
