I want to talk about healing from a broken heart or a divorce. It's not an easy journey, but I firmly believe that with the right information and actions, you can move past the pain and towards a better life.
So, in this episode, I'm going to focus on three key things that are an absolute must when it comes to healing after heartbreak or divorce.
First and foremost, you must give yourself permission to grieve. Heartbreak and divorce are like a loss, and it's crucial to acknowledge the emotions that come with it. Feel the pain because burying it can lead to unexpected outbursts and road rage.
Next, I want to emphasize the importance of forgiving yourself. Now, you might think you did nothing wrong, but often we start blaming ourselves for not recognizing the signs or for our part in the breakup. Forgiving yourself is not about excusing anyone's behavior; it's a tool for your healing. Let go of the guilt and negative thoughts.
And finally, self-care is crucial. When you've been hurt, you need to treat yourself with love and care. You can't expect others to treat you well if you're not willing to do it for yourself. Self-care can be as simple as taking a relaxing bath, exercising, meditating, or even traveling. It's about teaching yourself and others how to treat you with the respect and kindness you deserve.
Remember, my friends, healing is possible, even after a heartbreak or divorce. These three steps – allowing yourself to grieve, forgiving yourself and others, and practicing self-care – are the foundation of your healing journey. And stay tuned because there's more to come in future episodes.
