Cellular health for women is about more than supplements and longevity hacks. Your body really was designed to renew itself every single day, and your soul was too. After years of working on women's bodies and their hearts, I've learned your cells can only go so far while your heart is still carrying what you never processed.

For a long time I poured into everyone else and let my own body run on fumes. I skipped meals, drank coffee instead of water, stayed up way too late, and sat way too much, all while doing deep soul work with women in ministry. It took me years to see that the grief I never let myself feel and the gut that wouldn't settle down were living at the same address.

In this episode I walk you through the four pillars of what I call preventive wellness: release, repair, replenish, and renew. We'll talk about why you should drain before you detox, how your gut and liver shape your hormones, what I've seen after running mineral testing on more than a hundred women, and how your mitochondria and your inner being are both being made new every day. I was 41 when a church leader I trusted spoke to me in a way no adult woman ever had, and my body reacted like I was dying. It took me months to even talk about it. What I didn't know yet was that God was about to use that betrayal to reach wounds I'd been carrying for thirty years.

In this episode I share that testimony as plainly as I can, with a new healthy perspective and not partnering with the trap of bitterness, and then we go deep into Proverbs 4:23. We'll look at the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words for heart, why "guard" is a watchman's word and not a wall-builder's word, and why Solomon kept tying the condition of the heart to bones, flesh, and medicine. Then we get into the science: how your nervous system works, what happens when it gets stuck in survival mode, and the research showing your heart has its own nervous system that talks to your brain more than your brain talks to it.

There's a rope tied around your leg that stopped being able to hold you a long time ago.

Circus elephants get staked young, when the rope actually can hurt them. By the time they're strong enough to walk away, they don't try. The belief got installed early, and the enemy doesn't have to show up again. That's what fear does, and a lot of us are running on it without knowing it, because it's so deeply ingrained we think it's our personality, or our quirkiness, or our holiness.

This episode is unscripted and it goes deep. I get into what the Bible actually says about fear, and why "do not fear" and "fear the Lord" are the same Hebrew word. Hebrew never built two vocabularies. It has one word for the human capacity to be affected by something greater than yourself, and the text tells you what to do with that capacity based entirely on what it's pointed at.

We look at Exodus 20:20, where that root shows up twice in one verse with opposite instructions. The Greek deilia in 2 Timothy 1:7, which is cowardice, not reverence. The Aramaic underneath Abba. And the verse I think is the most important one in the whole study, Psalm 130:4: there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared. Fear is the response to forgiveness, not to threat.

I also talk about why some of the meanest people you'll meet are Christians, and why underneath hatred and anger there is almost always fear.

The diagnostic question is simple. Does it move you toward God or away from him? Adam heard God's voice and hid. That fear has to go. Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted up, said woe is me, and then said here I am, send me. That fear stays.

Your Body Was Designed to Heal

At 38 I was couch-bound and my blood work came back normal. At 44 I feel better than I did in my twenties. Nothing about that was complicated, but it did require going to the root instead of chasing symptoms.

In this episode I walk through the physical health side of this work. Why standard blood work misses so much, and what functional testing like HTMA, a GI Map, and the Dutch test can actually show you. Hormones are the leaves on the tree. The gut and liver are the root system, and that's where I start with almost everyone.

We go into the big three gut issues: leaky gut and what drives it, parasites and why they're more common than people think, and bacterial imbalance you can't fix by throwing a probiotic at it. Then the liver, which converts and clears your hormones, and why serotonin being made largely in the gut means mood and digestion are the same conversation. I explain drainage funnels too, colon, liver and bile, lymph, cells, and why you open downstream before you push detox upstream if you don't want to feel worse.

I also get honest about HRT and GLP-1 medications. After I'd done the root cause work and built the lifestyle habits, I added HRT and a microdose of Retatrutide for the last twenty percent, joint pain, brain fog, weight. They're powerful tools. They're also a band-aid without the foundational work underneath, and I want to be straight with you about both halves of that.

Where to start

Pick one habit and be consistent with it. Don't overhaul everything at once.
 Cut gluten and dairy. Those are the two inflammatory foods I have nearly every client remove.
 Support gut and liver first. They drive hormones, mood, and neurotransmitters.
 Test, don't guess. Functional testing shows what blood work misses.
 Open drainage before detoxing.
 Aim for consistent, not perfect. Chasing perfect health adds the exact stress you're trying to remove.

If you're waiting until you've earned rest, you'll be waiting a long time. That belief is what burnout is built on.

In this episode I make both the biblical and the physiological case for rest as obedience rather than indulgence. We go into the actual Greek and Hebrew behind Matthew 11:28-30, the words Jesus chose for labor to exhaustion, for being loaded down by other people's expectations, and for the kind of yoke that's well-fitting rather than crushing. Then the Hebrew side of rest: nuach, to settle and be secure. Shalom, nothing missing and nothing broken. Shabbat, to cease, not because you're finished but because God is.

I also talk about what chronic striving actually does in the body. Relentless internal pressure dysregulates cortisol, blood sugar, thyroid conversion, progesterone, digestion, immune function, and sleep. This isn't a mindset issue you can push through. And I get into the difference between performance as identity ("I am what I accomplish") and identity-driven performance ("I accomplish because I know who I am").

Practical rest rhythms

Daily: morning light within the first hour of waking, enough protein and balanced meals, five-minute pauses for prayer or slow breathing between work blocks, technology-free walks, a screen-free wind-down and consistent bedtime.

Weekly: pick a Sabbath day and stick to it, leave margin in your calendar instead of filling every open space, worship and community and time outside, a hobby you do purely for fun and not as a side hustle.

Monthly: schedule a personal retreat even if it's only a few hours, review your calendar and ask whether it reflects your priorities or your fears, take vacations that restore rather than relocate your work, celebrate what you've accomplished before launching into the next thing.

You can read the word daily, hear every sermon, and still feel like your faith isn't growing. The seed (God's word), is perfect so we have to look at where its trying to take root, the soil of your heart. 

In this episode I walk through the parable of the sower and the four conditions a heart can be in. The hardened heart, packed down by being walked over. The performing heart that springs up fast with no root. The crowded, anxious heart where good things choke the harvest. And the good, tended heart, which is honest, not perfect. Good soil isn't found. It's farmed.

I also talk about how a wound hardens into an agreement. The event ends, but the belief it planted keeps living, and it starts shaping what you see. Here's what I want you to hear: you are not damaged goods. You're unattended Eden. Hard ground isn't ruined ground. It's ground waiting for the Gardener.

Where This All Began

Your labs can come back normal and you can still not be okay. I lived that, and it changed everything about how I work with women.

In this first episode I'm telling you the real story behind Healing Her. Not the polished version. I spent years using grace language to let myself off the hook while my health quietly fell apart, and I kept meeting women doing the same thing from the other direction, doing all the soul work and still exhausted in their bodies.
