Keith is so disarming and present, talking with him about one of the loves of my life (improvisational comedy) was an absolute joy. Keith Saltojanes is an Author, Improviser and Podcaster based in Los Angeles. He founded Improv LA and tours *the world* teaching and sharing the gospel of improv. I literally refer to him as an Improv Missionary in this conversation. In Keith's book, The Improv Mindset he breaks down all of the ways improv mirrors life. He highlights not only how easy these principles are for us all to adopt ,but also how profoundly transformative they can be. Plus he remembers and speaks so fondly of a sketch I did from 2017 soooo you know I'm into it. LOLZ. Enjoy this one, it's so good for the creative's heart.

I am letting you in on a little secret. . . spoiler: it's all hard. ANYTHING worth doing is difficult and that never goes away. It's not supposed to. Doing hard things is the same as building confidence. We just have to do it and trust that eventually we'll get accustomed to it. I know you're thinking, "Rach, I need an example. . . " So. For example. . . right now I'm training my body to do an unassisted pull up. It's very hard. But eventually day after day, weight by weight, I'll be able to. BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THERE! Because then it'll be hard teaching myself to do FIVE unassisted pull ups. The bar moves, the obstacles don't. But listen baby, it's so worth it. Get after it, we need you. LYMI!
