Holistic Hormone Podcast with Eleanor Duelley

Healing is not Mainstream

Listen Later

There are many challenges to learning more about these natural treatments for healing. We can learn all about treatments for diabetes and high cholesterol in commercials during the morning news, but not very often are we told about the benefits of milk thistle because it is just not as profitable, or not as sexy as the new pill for blood sugar regulation.

This kind of pisses me off. That we as a society are sacrificing natural healing practices (by purposefully not educating about holistic practices) and trading them in for big profits and instant gratification. But we now know, that even if we were on board. with pumping pharmaceuticals for healing, it doesn’t get to the root problem - it is a broken, but not financially broke system.
