David Greenwalt is a certified Health Coach, founder of Leanness Lifestyle University, and author of The Leanness Lifestyle. He has been in the health coaching space for several decades. In Part 1 of this 2-part conversation, he shares his story of healing from severe back pain.

Evelyn's family sought refuge in Canada and the United States after the Vietnam War. The war caused her family to be ripped away from each other, fighting to survive. Her family was in survival mode. Affection, love, and connection took a back seat, causing inner child wounds. She went through a difficult period of life that included anxiety and suicidal thoughts. She found new insights and power by getting involved in fitness, and ultimately healing her inner child and generational trauma, which has changed her life. Cristina-Andreea Moraru, aka "Worthful Woman", is a science communicator and podcaster focused on the intersection of science and spirituality. Cristina's work was born out of her need to reconcile her attraction to both spirituality and science. The name "Worthful Woman" reflects the heart of her professional story and makes a stand for the many perspectives that have historically been excluded from science: including but not limited to those of women.

Arjun joined the India Against Corruption Movement in 2011 at the age of 17. He later advised the Chief Minister of Delhi on various policies and led a movement that pushed for reforms of rape laws. He was awarded the Chevening Scholarship by the British Government, which allowed him to do his Master's in Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Right at the end of his scholarship, he started to feel sick. He was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and then with spondyloarthopathy, an autoimmune disorder. He was at wit's end. Then, his healing process began.

Salila’s family lineage is steeped in the tradition of Ayurveda. In her family, grandmothers pass down the tradition, which Salila often scoffed at in her childhood search for a more Western life. However, Ayurveda was in her bones, and would not abandon her. After reaching a point in her life where her health and heart were missing something, her mother urged her to return to the source - Ayurveda and Yoga. Salila did not question her, and it was there that she found her healing. After a profound and powerful reconnection and transformation, she committed to studying these Vedic healing modalities and bringing Ayurveda to the world.

Leemon McHenry is a bioethicist and Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Northridge.
