Watch Me | Finding Your Voice After Being Made to Feel Small
What happens when you’ve spent years being told you’re too sensitive, not smart enough, too old, too emotional—or simply not capable?
In this deeply personal episode, I’m sharing pieces of my own story and the two words that have quietly followed me from childhood into my 60s: Watch me.
This isn’t a story about proving people wrong. It’s about learning not to abandon yourself because someone else doesn’t believe in you. It’s about the words we carry, the times we lose our voice, and the courage it sometimes takes to find it again.
If you’ve ever been underestimated, diminished, silenced, or made to feel small, this conversation is especially for you.
Because no one else gets to decide what you’re capable of.
And maybe the next time someone—or that old voice inside your own head—says you can’t, you’ll find two words of your own:
Watch Me.

Hold On, Let Me Overthink This | Planning for Tomorrow Without Missing Today
What happens when you’re trying so hard to prepare for the future that you realize you may be missing the life happening right now?
In this deeply personal episode, I share how experiences from my childhood shaped my lifelong need to plan, prepare, and anticipate what might go wrong—and how that instinct is being challenged as my husband and I face a future very different from the retirement we once imagined.
We’ll talk about changing dreams, financial and health uncertainty, the difference between planning and worrying, and why mindfulness doesn’t have to mean ignoring tomorrow. Maybe it simply means learning when to put tomorrow down and come back to today.
Because we can make plans. We can dream new dreams. We can acknowledge what has changed and what we’ve lost—while still remembering to notice the ordinary moments happening right in front of us.
Maybe being present isn’t about having the future figured out. Maybe it’s remembering that today is part of our life, too.

Gentle Invitations for Reflection
When do I feel most connected to something greater than myself, and what helps me return to that feeling when life becomes overwhelming?
What truth about myself am I beginning to remember that fear, grief, or self-doubt may have caused me to forget?
Where in my life am I being invited to trust more deeply instead of trying to control every outcome?
What moments of wonder, awe, or quiet beauty have reminded me that I am supported, even during difficult seasons of my life?
If I could see myself through the eyes of unconditional love, what would I notice about the person I am becoming?
Gentle Affirmations
I am connected to a wisdom greater than my fear.
The light within me has never left; I am simply remembering its presence.
I trust that healing is unfolding in its own perfect time, one gentle step at a time.
I release the need to have every answer and welcome peace into this moment.
I am held, I am loved, and I am exactly where I need to be on my journey.

Have you ever felt disconnected—from yourself, your purpose, or something greater than you can explain?
In this final episode of our Sacred Journey Through the Chakras Series, we gently explore the Crown Chakra through the lens of self-awareness, hope, and spiritual connection. Rather than viewing the Crown Chakra as something mystical or unattainable, we’ll discover how it can serve as a compassionate guide, inviting us to slow down, become present, and remember the wisdom that has always lived within us.
In this heartfelt conversation, I also share one of the most personal stories I’ve ever told on the podcast—my own spiritual awakening and the life-changing experience that opened my heart to a deeper sense of purpose. It’s a story of grief, healing, unexpected hope, and discovering that sometimes our greatest transformations begin during life’s most difficult seasons.
Together, we’ll explore:
Whether you think of your spiritual connection as God, Spirit, Divine Love, Source, or simply a quiet sense of inner peace, this episode offers a welcoming space for reflection, curiosity, and hope.
Be sure to listen to the companion guided meditation, Remembering the Light Within | A Crown Chakra Meditation for Peace, Spiritual Connection & Soul Wisdom, created to help you integrate today’s conversation through gentle relaxation, visualization, and healing affirmations.
You’ll also find companion journal prompts and affirmations in today’s episode description to support your continued reflection.
Thank you for joining me throughout this Sacred Journey Through the Chakras series. My hope is that these conversations have reminded you that healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about meeting yourself with compassion, curiosity, and kindness, one gentle step at a time.

Through progressive relaxation, mindful breathing, calming imagery, and gentle affirmations, you'll create space to quiet your mind, release self-doubt, and deepen your connection with your own intuition.
This meditation includes:
Whether you think of intuition as a quiet inner knowing, a gut feeling, your higher self, or simply your own inner wisdom, this meditation offers a safe and welcoming space to slow down, reflect, and come home to yourself.

Healing Our Kindred Spirits Podcast is an audio-only podcast available on all major streaming platforms, including YouTube.
Please do not listen while driving or doing any activity that requires your full attention.
May this meditation remind you that clarity doesn't come from forcing answers—it often arrives when we become still enough to listen.
If you are guided to journal after this meditation, we have provided journal reflections, and gentle affirmations at the end of this description.
Until next time, be gentle with yourself, be gentle with one another, and remember... you are never too much, and you are always, always enough.
Gentle Invitations for Reflections
What does my inner voice sound like when I slow down and truly listen? How is it different from fear, worry, or self-doubt?
When in my life have I trusted my intuition, and what did that experience teach me about myself?
Where am I looking outside myself for answers that I may already carry within?
What helps me feel calm, grounded, and connected to my own inner wisdom? How can I create more of those moments in my daily life?
If I trusted myself just one little bit more this week, what gentle step would I be willing to take?

Sometimes the hardest voice to hear is our own.
In this gentle guided meditation, I invite you to step away from the noise of everyday life and into a peaceful place where nothing needs to be fixed, solved, or explained.
Together, we’ll journey to a quiet lakeside at sunrise, where you’ll be encouraged to slow your breathing, soften into the present moment, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom that has always lived within you.
Inspired by the gentle symbolism of the Throat Chakra, this meditation isn’t about changing who you are. It’s about creating a safe space to listen to your heart, honor your feelings, and remember that your voice matters.
Whether you’ve been carrying unspoken words, struggling to set healthy boundaries, or simply longing for a few moments of peace, may this meditation remind you that you are worthy of being heard—especially by yourself.
As always, I invite you to listen in a quiet, comfortable place where you can fully relax, and never while driving or doing anything that requires your full attention.
Should you wish to journal, we have provided some gentle invitations for reflections and affirmations.
Thank you for allowing me to walk beside you for these few peaceful moments.
Until we meet again…
Be gentle with yourself.
You are never too much… and you are always, always enough.

Healing Our Kindred Spirits Podcast is a place for honest stories, meaningful conversations, and the things many of us carry quietly.
Hosted by storyteller Donna Gaudette,…
Here, we talk about grief and changing dreams, guilt and vulnerability, caregiving and loss, mindfulness and overthinking, aging and uncertainty, intuition and spirituality, relationships, resilience, and those ordinary moments that often hold more meaning than we realize.
Some episodes begin with a personal story. Others begin with a question, a reflection, or something life has placed in front of us that deserves a closer look.
There may not always be a solution or a perfectly wrapped-up ending—and that’s intentional. Sometimes what we need most isn’t someone telling us how to fix our lives. Sometimes we simply need to know that someone else has felt it too.
Created especially with empaths, sensitive souls, and seekers in mind, Healing Our Kindred Spirits is also a welcoming space for anyone who appreciates authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and conversations with a little more depth.
You’ll also find original curated guided meditation episodes and moments of quiet reflection to help you pause, reconnect with yourself, and step away from the noise for a little while.
This isn’t a podcast about having all the answers.
It’s about sharing our stories, asking meaningful questions, making room for what we don’t yet know, and perhaps recognizing a little of ourselves in one another along the way.
Come as you are.
There is room for your story here, too.
