Episode 5 of Healing Out Loud with Antwan is one I'll always remember.
First, I announced the winner of the giveaway—my close friend Austin (Instagram: @Ausaucetheman). Thank you to everyone who supported, listened, shared, and entered. There will be more opportunities to come.
This episode takes a different direction. I talk about what it really means when I say, "I sold my soul." Not to someone else—but to the vision I have for myself. I made a financial contract with myself and chose to invest in the person I'm becoming.
Every day, we sign agreements without thinking twice. We agree to the terms of social media apps. We sign employment contracts and commit to showing up for work. So why is it so hard to make that same level of commitment to ourselves?
This conversation is about discipline, accountability, self-investment, and honoring the promises you make to your future self.
You'll also notice I was smoking during this episode. I chose not to hide it because Healing Out Loud is about authenticity, not perfection. We all have vices, habits, and coping mechanisms. Mine are part of my journey, and I'm learning to understand them while continuing to grow. This isn't about glorifying them—it's about being honest about where I am as I work toward becoming a better version of myself.
If you've ever felt like it's time to stop making excuses and start honoring your own commitment, this episode is for you.
Heal out loud. Grow on purpose. Keep your contract with yourself.
