Distraction is one of the enemy’s most subtle strategies. It doesn’t always show up as something sinful—it often comes disguised as busyness, relationships, offense, fear, social media, people-pleasing, or opportunities that were never assigned to you by God.
If he can keep your attention divided, he can delay your obedience.
If he can delay your obedience, he can deter you from walking fully in the purpose and destiny God has for your life.

Many of us have been taught that love is enough to make a relationship work. But the truth is, love alone cannot sustain a healthy relationship. Real love requires capacity—the emotional, mental, spiritual, and relational ability to show up consistently, communicate effectively, regulate emotions, practice self-control, and love with maturity.
In this episode, we explore how unhealed trauma, survival mode, poor communication, and emotional immaturity can sabotage even the deepest feelings of love. We discuss the importance of emotional regulation, healthy communication, character, selflessness without self-abandonment, and the role healing plays in expanding our capacity to love well.
Most importantly, we are reminded that capacity can be built. Through healing, self-awareness, accountability, and faith, God can help us become the people capable of sustaining the very love we’ve been praying for.

Healing occurs when we make the shift from thinking about our issue to feeling our feelings. The shift from thinking to feeling happens when we pay attention to the feelings themselves. This means actually entering them, not thinking about the problem or even about the feeling. So it is actually about feeling the grief, anger, sadness or fear or whatever, and following what happens.
It is your birthright to experience true love and intimacy. Feeling our feelings was set up to end suffering in relationships. Having a sense of safety within our relationships, and the environment in which we live, is essential for our physical health and wellbeing. We use the wisdom of own feelings, emotions, our intuition, to have healthier relationships and to make decisions that are in alignment with who we truly are. It starts with the healing relationship we have with ourselves.
