We'll highlight programs promoting physical activity, such as the South Central Sports League, which engages over 800 to 1,000+ youth annually through partner organizations.
Explore their health education and service efforts, including the Annual Health, Resource & Scholastic Book Fair, which sees over 1,000 community members attend annually and provides free resources and screenings, including vision exams, blood pressure checks, and more. Learn about their partnership with Essential Access Health, impacting over 200 women and 75 youth with family planning education and services through grants. Hear about mobile vaccination clinics in partnership with St. Johns Well Child Center and the L.A. County Health Department, which provided 97 vaccinations and conducted outreach to over 750 people. All Peoples also hosts Disaster Preparedness Education Workshops, distributing 200 disaster supply kits and 10,000 neighborhood evacuation maps.
The center also provides vital support for mental and emotional wellness through services like Mental Health Counseling and Domestic Violence Support Groups, which have helped over 1,500 families with critical resources over the past decade (combined with parenting classes).
