What happens when your body betrays you? When you go from feeling unstoppable to barely making it through the day? I know that feeling firsthand.
This week, I’m getting personal—sharing the moment my life changed forever. My stroke was my wake-up call, but it wasn’t the end of my story—it was the beginning of a journey toward true healing.

💡 How did redox signaling help me regain my energy, reduce inflammation, and get my life back?
💡 Why is cellular communication the missing link in so many people’s health struggles?
💡 And how can YOU take control of your body’s natural ability to heal?

Trina Rye (Reiss) grew up in the great Canadian Wilderness and spent her childhood close to nature, hunting, gathering wild berries and fishing.
Unfortunately, she was born with a number of chronic health issues which she struggled with during her childhood and into early adulthood, like severe allergies, chronic infections and asthma.
By the time Trina got married in her mid-twenties and had her first child, her health was in a deplorable state and doctors and specialists did not know how to help her.
After seeking the help of alternative healthcare practitioners and seeing improvements in her health that she didn't think were possible, she decided to earn a degree in Holistic Nutrition in 2014
Trinas best friend Dave's struggle to lose weight and regain his energy in his 50s is what inspired her to change the focus of her practice 100% to men over 40.
"My mission is to educate men over 40 on how to fuel their 40+ bodies so that they can thrive!"
"I see men everywhere struggling with their health. They are expected to muddle through, man up and figure out how to lose weight on their own. For some things great, that works, but when it comes to losing weight many men are lost and confused. This saddens me because I have a husband, many male friends, male family members and two sons. I am invested in seeing men thrive."
Most nutritionists and weight loss programs are focused on women's health and the programs that are available for men tend to be ultra macho and focused on creating a body builder type physique. The majority of the men that Trina works with are not interested in looking like a body-builder; instead, they want to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, feel strong and healthy and not have to worry about chronic illnesses as they get older.
As well as working with men 1:1, I offer a 12-week group weight loss program, called the Belly Fat Fix, which is exclusively for men in their 40s, 50s and 60s who want to lose weight in a healthy, sustainable way while putting their health first. With over 15 hours of group coaching and 3 hours of individual coaching, this program gives men a step-by-step plan to stop doing what isn't working, reset their bodies and metabolism and finally lose stubborn weight for good.
"My methodology is comprehensive and includes a holistic approach to health and weight loss, which includes individualized coaching, personal support from me, a supportive community and guidance on optimal nutrition for weight loss and overall health."
She also has a free, men-only (+me) Facebook community called Lose Your Belly Fat | Weight Loss For Men, which is a group that men can join if they want to educate themselves on what doesn't work and why and what will work. In this group I do a free, live training every week on different topics, such as How Much Sugar is Too Much, The Stress-Belly Fat Connection, The 5-Step Process To Losing Stubborn Weight For Good, etc.
Whether or not the men in the group want to work with me, I want them to have the resources to achieve better health. Here's two pieces of value:
1-Don't eat Desert
for breakfast (no oatmeal, sugary cereals, grains, muffins etc) It's best to have 45 grams of protein
2-Make sure you have a support system and accountability partner. A coach in this area is most positive.
