Ella Domingo is a second-year honors pharmacy student in the Purdue College of Pharmacy and serves as Timmy Global Health’s Global Health Roundtable Chair. She recently completed a national association management internship with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists this summer and is involved in Purdue's Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists as the President-Elect for the 2020-21 academic year. Through Timmy, she is a Get Onboard Active Living team leader for Indiana University Health where she teaches young students about healthy living through nutrition and exercise. She is an outpatient pharmacy intern at Franciscan Health, a member of Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, a Presentation Lead Ambassador for Purdue's Honors College Ambassadors, and a Purdue Student Advisory Board Vice Provost for Student Life At-Large Representative. Outside of school, she is a vocalist at St. Thomas Aquinas, enjoys singing and playing different instruments, and loves running and fitness. After pharmacy school, Ella plans on pursuing a residency and is interested in cardiology and health-system pharmacy. She looks forward to serving her future patients and colleagues through interprofessional collaboration and patient-centered care, fulfilling her passions for science and human connection.
More about Dr. Gonzalvo:
Jasmine D. Gonzalvo, PharmD, BC-ADM, CDCES, FADCES is a Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She is the Director of the Center for Health Equity and Innovation at Purdue. Her practice for Eskenazi Health involves the provision of Cardiovascular Risk Reduction services in an underserved population with mental illness and for those who primarily speak Spanish. Her research interests relate to community health workers, cardiovascular risk reduction in underserved populations, integration of the Spanish language into practice and academic settings, and diabetes self-management education and support in the pharmacy setting. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. She is the current Chair for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. She is active in advocacy efforts at the State and Federal levels. In 2018, she was appointed to the National Clinical Care Commission.
