This week Bobbi Conner alks with Dr. Lindsay Squeglia about the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study and early findings from this research related to screen time for children and teens. Dr. Squeglia is a Clinical Neuropsychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at MUSC.

This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Elizabeth Mack about preventing influenza in children and also tips for caring for children who do get the flu. Dr. Mack is the Division Chief for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at MUSC Children’s Health and she’s a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics at MUSC.

This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Teresa Stephens about how individuals develop resilience when faced with stressful events and adversity. Dr. Stephens is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at MUSC and she has been involved in research related to resilience for the past 11 years.

This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Shean Aujla about managing asthma in children and also new treatments for children with severe asthma. Dr. Aujla is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and she is the Director of Pediatric Pulmonology at MUSC Children’s Health.

This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Eric Meissner about a collaborative program in North Carolina and South Carolina to reduce HIV infections in both states by ninety percent over the next decade. Dr. Meissner is an Assistant Professor of Infectious Diseases and Director of HIV and Hepatitis Clinical Care and Research at MUSC.

This week Bobbi Conner talks with Dr. Satish Nadig about recent advances and research underway related to organ transplantation. Dr. Nadig is an Endowed Chair in Adult and Pediatric Multi-Organ Transplant Surgery and he’s the Scientific Director of the Transplant Research and Immuno-Biology Institute at MUSC.
