Kicking off with a System of a Down deep-dive and a stray Linkin Park detour, this episode of Health | People | Places | Things sits down with Eddie Lee – old mate, now colleague at Untapped®, and a guy who spent two decades building a career in the Pilbara before making a leap that surprised almost everyone who knew him.
We trace Eddie’s through-line from a childhood shaped by hardworking parents and small-town WA moves – Christmas Island, Newman, Karratha – through marriage and kids, to the sliding-doors moments and intentional nudges from others that reshaped his path.
We get into what it actually takes to walk away from a long, stable career without a safety net, why Eddie learns better from people than from books, and the mindset of asking "what could go right?" instead of only weighing the risks.
It's a conversation about learning by doing, the discomfort of change, and what really matters once you strip away the noise...
It's about health, family, and relationships built on trust... alongside the modest two-year vision Eddie's chasing and, fittingly, an old Ford he'd love to have sitting in the shed.
Equal parts reflective and engaging, and a genuinely interesting listen.

Becky Felstead - host of The Resource podcast, people and culture consultant, and former photojournalist and personal trainer - sits in the chair as the first ever HPPT guest. She and Aaron trace her path from struggling in school to war-zone photography, to the moment when covering a fatal shark attack changed everything.
They get into her "season of life" at 40, the honest reckoning with maybe not having children, her three-year vision for her business, and the personal and financial cost of being one of the only voices speaking up about harassment in the mining industry early on.
It closes with dinner-guest wishlists, book and podcast recommendations, and a genuinely moving conversation about eulogies and gratitude.

For the second episode, I handed the mic over. Becky sat me down and asked some of the questions I usually ask everyone else.
We get into where Health, People, Places, Things actually came from, and why each word means more than it looks like on the surface. Health isn't just physical, it's mental, emotional and spiritual too. People covers everyone from family to colleagues to acquaintances. Places is travel, experience, community. And Things is a reminder not to be owned, by what you own.
We talk about why I started podcasting in the first place, from an early guest spot on Brews News through to being a guest on Becky's own The Resource Podcast last year. We get into the business betrayal that cost me a mate and nine years of my life, and how I chose to look after the people around me instead of getting bitter about it. We talk about becoming a father to twin boys, and what that's taught me about leadership and legacy. And because I can't help myself, we get into a long list of books and the people, alive or not, I'd love to have around a table.

Finally.
I've thought about doing this podcast for longer than I'd like to admit. Life, work, and a good dose of overthinking got in the way more times than I can count. But here we are, episode one, and I couldn't be happier to finally get it out into the world.
This first episode is me, on my own, explaining what HPPT is and why it exists.
It started with a wristband. Almost twenty years ago, a mentor of mine, Mike, asked me a simple question: what's the most important thing in your life? I gave the answer everyone gives. Family. He told me I was wrong. If you're not healthy, he said, you can't actually show up for any of them. That one conversation reordered everything for me, and it's stuck ever since: Health, People, Places, Things, in that order. It's been on my wrist since not long after that conversation.
I've had to relearn that lesson more than once, through losing my best mate when I was eleven, through a business that nearly broke me, through years of pouring myself into work while life faded into the background. Resilience got me through a lot of it. It also cost me more than I realised at the time.
This isn't a business podcast. It's not a self-help podcast either, though I suspect some of what comes up will feel like both at times. What it is, is long form, honest conversations with people who've actually lived something: how our health carries us, how our people shape us, how the places and experiences we move through mark us, and how the things we build (or let go of) along the way come to define us.
No script. No agenda. Just me, some people worth listening to, and whatever we find when we slow down enough to talk.
Coming up: conversations with fellow podcaster Becky, my oldest mate Eddie, and a guy named Jeff who proves that being an outlier isn't something to fix. It might be the whole point.
I'd love to hear what you think, and who you'd want to hear on the show. This is just the beginning.
Health. People. Places. Things.
