Jacqui Murphy is the co-founder of Elderella, an elder care platform created alongside Mike Kirkup to ease the mental load of caregiving by consolidating details into a shared, accessible "care memory." Driven by her personal experience managing family elder care, Jacqui built Elderella to make caregiving more sustainable and less isolating for families.
Her venture builds on a 20+ year track record as a tech executive, investor, and board member. Jacqui began her career leading marketing communications for PixStream (acquired by Cisco Systems in one of Canada's largest tech acquisitions), spent a decade as a venture capital investor scaling high-growth startups, and served as Chief Marketing Officer at Auvik Networks, where she helped drive growth from pre-revenue to over $40M in ARR and a $280M funding outcome.
Tune in to listen to the full conversation, facilitated by co-founders Emma Jane Riley and Kamesh Ayyagari!
In 2022, Ellyn Winters-Robinson got a breast cancer diagnosis and a stack of questions no hospital pamphlet could answer, so instead of waiting for the system to catch up, she built the answer herself. AskEllyn.ai is now the world's first AI companion made specifically for people navigating breast cancer, running in more than 50 languages across over 100 countries, with zero marketing spend and a growing body of clinical research backing it up. Ellyn spent her career in PR before becoming what she calls an accidental tech founder, and on this episode of Healthcare Hot Takes she talks about what it actually takes to build something real out of the worst news of your life, and why she's making sure no one diagnosed has to walk through it alone.
