In episode 7 of the Healthcare India, Podcast Dr Vikram Venkateswaran talks about the Digital Disease Surveillance pilot working with IET, CHRI, and Siemens Healthineers. The pilot looks at 3 critical disease conditions, Dengue, Malaria, and Chikungunya.
The project will focus on developing a predictive model that can be replicated across the country. This will feed into the Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme. The objectives of the project, which will be completed in two phases over the next year, include:
To use publicly available disease-related data;
To collect social and digital insights, and analyse trends using keyword-led hypotheses;
To develop a prediction model for specific geography;
Refine the model to scale to larger geographies; and
Present the model to the Government of India to be adopted as part of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme.Read more about this in this press release- https://bit.ly/3zI1asy
